Feeling a ton of gratitude for the past year - getting the opportunity to present my musical experiments across many places and platforms and share my favourite tunes on the radio and discuss my process and the concept behind my album in a listening bar with listening people. I took a weird leap of faith to move to Berlin to do this full time, and now I feel supported by so many lovely people, venturing into this creative project alone, and things seem to be moving in a trajectory I’m feeling positive about. In addition I took up learning drums, experimenting with electronics, fixing my own broken buttons, playing with tape loops, playing with so many cute cats, wrote an album, played with tons of natural reverbs, scarfed down so much inspiring art and music. It was a good year. Let Yourself be Huge. by @akshaysic

Phew... I’ve done 20 shows of Ambient Narratives on @thfradio. It’s been over a year, many cold bike rides through and around Tempelhofer Feld to the radio station, and lugging my heavy, dusty vinyl bag on many, many days.... Now that I’ve successfully uploaded episodes #11–#20 to the archives, I hope you’ll find time to listen to some of it. That’s 40+ hours of me selecting my favourite #Ambient, #SpiritualJazz, #Experimental, Field Recordings, Spoken Word, and even some Post Rock - plus me rambling about all of it in my awkward voice.From tomorrow, I'm’going to change gears a bit - create a theme for each episode, stick to it, and dig for two hours of calming music for the radiowaves and your aural enjoyment.
