Living among the wooded creatures of the far north with my trusty mountain goat sidekicks.

While the world below is tucked beneath a blanket of clouds, I get to watch the sky turn breathtaking shades of gold from the comfort of home. Moments like these remind me to bask in the magic that is Alaska.

First winter led to new friends quickly taken away by the golden orb in the sky.

There's something magical about the first snowfall. The way the world grows quiet, the trees dress in white, and everything feels a little softer, slower, and more peaceful. A beautiful reminder to appreciate the wonder of nature.

Denali is popping this morning! We are so lucky to live on these lands and have such precious views to enjoy over breakfast. I do not take for granted my home sits on the traditional and unceded lands of the Dena'ina People.

These two are more than our dogs—they’re our best friends and our adventure buddies!

Erythromelalgia means our tundra frolics come with breaks. I have to stop, cool down, let my inner dragon fire settle and then decide if I’ve got another round in me.

But these two don’t care how fast I go or how many times I have to stop. They’re just happy I’m out there with them.

So we run. We rest. We frolic. We soak up the Alaska tundra together.

Nothing brings an Aussie more joy than bounding through the tundra with Dad… except maybe the realization that Dad NEVER ACTUALLY THREW ANYTHING.

The betrayal. The confusion. The immediate willingness to fall for it again.

Life with Aussies: 50% adventure, 50% psychological warfare.

On 9/11, when everything was falling apart, people ran toward each other.

They didn’t ask if you were queer or straight.
They didn’t ask your religion.
They didn’t care about the color of your skin, or where you came from, who you voted for, or if you had a disability.

They saw another human being and they helped.

Twenty-five years later, I fear we are losing sight of why we came together.

America was never meant to be one race, one religion, or one identity. Our strength is in our diversity!

So today, as we say Never Forget, let’s remember more than the tragedy.

Remember how we came together.
Remember our shared humanity.
And fight like hell not to lose it!

This is their home and we are their guests. We simply sit back and take in the moment.

The crisp autumn air rolled along with the termination dust. You know what that means - SWEATER WEATHER!

The forbidden mountain siren song: “Come play, puppies… I promise this isn’t a trap."

I am utterly wrecked by A Court of Wings and Ruin.

You know a book series has gotten under your skin when you stop feeling like you’re reading about characters and start feeling like you know them. You love them. You fear for them. You grieve with them. And somewhere along the way, their choices have you contemplating your own thoughts about life, death, love, sacrifice, loyalty, and what true friendship really means.

And the women in this book! I don’t think I have ever felt so ridiculously PROUD of fictional women. Their strength isn’t just about being powerful—it’s their courage, resilience, vulnerability, rage, and willingness to stand up when everything tells them to fall. There were moments when I genuinely wanted to stand up and cheer.

The depiction of war was also incredibly sobering. Seeing it unfold through multiple perspectives was sonething else.

This book was a full-blown emotional roller coaster. I laughed. I cried. I panicked. I got angry. I cried some more. I stared blankly at the page questioning life. Then I kept reading because apparently I enjoy emotional devastation.

One important warning: This book is NOT safe to read in the bath.

Not because of the spicy scenes.

Because when you start violently sobbing, drowning becomes a real possibility.

Serving vintage garden-party chic while my dogs are serving “THROW. THE. DAMN. BALL.” 😂🎾

Apparently, there is no clause in the dog-parent contract that excuses you from playtime just because you dressed like you might be sipping cocktails at a 1970s lawn party.

The dress says retro.
The tennis racket says I have Australian Shepherds.

Fashion is temporary. Fetch is mandatory.
