“Now is the time when each flower exhales like a censer; the air is vague: dripping flowers and water’s sound, and people hurrying home. Well, Yasuko, now is the time, quietly together, shall we go down? In the faraway sky, even the flying birds are filled with passion.” These are the first two stanzas in the poem, Now Is The Time in the book, Poems of Chuuya Nakahara, by whom would you have guessed? Chuuya Nakahara. The poem, albeit a little vague, is about going for it and taking opportunities. Leading up to senior year, we have grown not just emboldened to challenge ourselves but also to challenge others with opposing ideas and opinions.

We’ve become people who have learned just to take the opportunity, to take the leap, the chance, because who knows what’s on the other side of the gap? Our time here at Compass has shown us not just to collaborate but to lead, guide, and interact with others in a way that we wouldn’t have otherwise. We were all freshmen once. Being loud, obnoxious, and just barely out of middle school. Now, we’re graduates. We’ve gone as far as interviewing people, going and doing community projects, helping animals get adopted, doing war exhibits, collaborating to create a livable habitat on Mars, and now, helping our own school by passing laws to help students in the coming years.
We should be proud of the work we’ve done, and we should be grateful for the people in our lives who have supported us the whole way.

in ten years, our names may be forgotten here by time, but Compass will forever be in our hearts. So, for the last time, let’s come together and celebrate our achievements. Let’s be like the birds in Chuuya’s poem, and take flight because now is our time. "For those that live too long, the friends of days gone by and scenes from their adventures live on in their memories. As such, I have no regrets in meeting you, friends. Should the day ever come that we are not together, you will continue to shine like gold in my memories.”

Thank you for these amazing four years together. by @akune_draws

My last first day of senior year was today. I am still not processing that I'm a senior at all, even though I'm working on college applications and FAFSA.

One day, I was a little girl entering kindergarten, and now, I'm a senior that's graduating in May...

It's crazy how time flies ❤️

We're so sorry for those who were excited. I'm having a lot of issues with mics and sound programs, so it will be a minute until the first episode is out.

Farewell, True Crimers!

This last week was so fun! I got to travel with @jayhask3ll4707 to new places, meet new people, and try new things! This trip has helped me learn a lot about other cultures, lifestyles, and ways of living.

First, we went to @unistudios and had a blast there. Then, we went to @disneyland and got to go on cool rides.. we had fun! Finally, it was time to explore the seas with @carnival on the Carnival Radiance. We explored the village culture of Catalina Island, then we rode the waves to Ensenada, Mexico!

This trip was so fun, and I'd do it again.

I bid adieu 👋 by @akune_draws
