Human-first film production & creative studio

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Our crowdfunder for our new film, Mothers, is live today. Link in bio 🤍

We (Finn & Nitin) are making Mothers, a fly-on-the-wall ode to motherhood as it really is: tender, exhausting, joyful, isolating, mundane and sacred, often all in the same day. This one was inspired by our love for our own mothers and all the mothers in our lives.

It’s about what motherhood means and what it doesn’t. What it costs. What it gives. And how deeply the world depends on it, often without noticing.

We’ll travel across the UK to film five mothers of different ages, ethnicities, backgrounds and family structures. Each is asked one simple but expansive thing: what question would you like to ask another mother? The others answer. There’s no interviewer, just their voices woven over 16mm film of their everyday lives.

We’re raising £15,000 to shoot on 16mm, develop the film, and travel the country to film these mothers wherever they are. When it’s finished, we’ll gift the film to a mothers’ charity so it can keep reaching the people it was made for.

It’s the ordinary acts of love that shape our world. If this means something to you, pledge what you can, share it, and send it to a mother you love.

RIGHT, YOU BISCUITS!

@jaffacakesofficial called up @pete_and_bas (and us) to settle the debate once and for all. Biscuit, or cake? Clues in the name.

Super fun directing and handling postproduction for this viral campaign.
