🎶 ONE MAN BAND • EPISODE 3 🎶

Grab your headphones!! This one is a redo of Johnny Osbourne’s @1johnnyosbourne “In Your Eyes”, requested by @moi.malaika and inspired by his live performance with @bacosessions.

My favorite part of making this track was definitely the bass. I used the pitch bender on my keyboard to play those slur notes, because I really enjoy figuring out ways to recreate certain effects without actually having the effects. 🎸

Second would be the percussion, especially the tambourine. I adjusted the velocity of the individual notes so it doesn’t feel like a MIDI keyboard just played everything at the same volume.

And third: the background vocals. Layering those harmonies and finding the right pockets is always fun.

Still replaying, tweaking and learning as I go. Imperfections and all. 🎤🎹🎸🥁

If y'all have anymore requests be sure to put it in the comments!

One man. Multiple instruments. One whole lot of music. 🎸🥁🎹🎤

Episode 2 of the One Man Band, coming straight out of Montego Bay, Jamaica 🇯🇲

This one was requested by @seveneleven_x after episone 1 of One Man Band, so I had to make it happen! 🙌🏾

This time, I’m putting my own reggae spin on a song by @theesacredsouls . I played, sang, arranged and produced my own version of this one, and had a damn good time doing it. 🔥

Grab your headphones for this one and get the full effect. 🎧🔥

@theesacredsouls , if this finds its way to you, I hope you dig it. ❤️

And y’all, tag them in the comments and let them know what you think! 👀🔥

Who should I tackle for Episode 3? 👇🏾

🎸 ONE MAN BAND | Episode 1
We’re kicking things off with a timeless one: “Lips of Wine” by Prince Dennis Emmanuel Brown @originaldennisbrown . 🇯🇲❤️💛💚
Every instrument you hear in this recording was played by me. Every vocal part was sung by me. Every layer was recorded by me, and the audio was mixed by me.
That’s the true essence of the One Man Band series: taking songs from some of the greats and rebuilding them from the ground up, one instrument at a time.
Big respect and give thanks to Prince Dennis Emmanuel Brown for this beautiful tune. 🙏🏾
🎧 Grab your headphones and take a listen.
No samples. No AI. Just me, my instruments, my computer and my microphone.

This one is an auditory experience.

Turn it up. Close your eyes. Let it ride. 🔊🔥

Noodling throwbacks. I dont do the Keys thing anymore but I do enjoy noodling sometimes. I think I'm gonna buy me a keyboard and start practicing again and get back and gain some new levels. I do miss it sometimes, not gonna lie.

Well… I guess it’s time I finally started using TikTok. 😂

I’ve had the account sitting there for a while, but I’ve never really been active on it. That changes now.

I’m officially bringing One Man Band over to TikTok, starting with Episode 1, my remake of Dennis Brown’s “Lips of Wine.” 🎸🎹🎤

If you’re on TikTok, head over and follow me there. I’ll be posting more music, One Man Band episodes, behind-the-scenes stuff, and whatever else comes out of the musical rabbit hole that is my home studio. 😂

Find me on TikTok: @al_mighty67

Come over and show me some love. ❤️‍🔥

Throwback part 2. This was one of Beulah's first shows in over a decade so you best believe I took a guitar solo every chance I got 😄. Love this guitar. She heavy though 😄

Throwback to last year in the club at @excellenceoysterbay ripping some guitar! This was a fun night with Beulah Black(My Epiphone guitar). Small in number but one hell of a vibe. Loved every minute of this performance!
