One of our favorite parts of Fall Gathering? Hearing directly from the people doing the work. This year's Partner Spotlights will feature six incredible organizations sharing how God is moving through their ministries in Alabama, across the nation, and around the world. Session A brings stories from Sowing Seeds of Hope, the Fisher and Caroline Humphreys Ministerial Scholars, and the Age Ready. Session B continues with Faith in Action Alabama, our Ugandan partners (Amani Sasa & Refuge & Hope International), and Dawnings Each partner gets 15 minutes to share how their work is helping people, churches, and communities thrive — and trust us, every single one is worth hearing. Plus, stick around during the breaks to visit their exhibits, meet the presenters, and discover new ways to connect, support, and serve. This is the Alabama CBF family at work. Come see it for yourself. Register at alabamacbf.org/fall-gathering-2026 🤍 @ssohope_org Sowing Seeds of Hope @fianational Faith in Action @amanisasaug @refugeandhope by @alabama_cbf

We are thrilled to welcome Rev. Brian Harfst to this year's Fall Gathering. Brian serves as Interim Pastor of Bruington Baptist Church in Virginia, Director of Coaching with Integer Network, and a CBF Dawnings Guide — and if those three roles tell you anything, it's that this is someone who genuinely loves walking alongside people. Whether he's coaching, facilitating, or building community, Brian shows up with warmth, wisdom, and a deep commitment to helping individuals and congregations thrive. We think he's going to fit right in with our "Called to Thrive" theme — and we can't wait for you to experience why. Ministers can join us for just $50. If you're a senior pastor in Alabama, there's a good chance you already know Rev. Dr. Laura Stephens-Reed — and if you don't, you're about to be so glad you met her. A minister, coach, and coach trainer, Laura has been a trusted Alabama CBF partner for years, walking alongside pastors through search processes and offering coaching to our ministers. She serves as Director of Education for the Integer Network Coaching Academy and brings a wealth of experience and warmth to every room she enters. This year, she'll be leading our Senior Pastors Retreat at Fall Gathering — and it is going to be worth showing up early for. We are thrilled to welcome Rev. Dr. Paul Baxley, Executive Coordinator of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, as our keynote speaker at this year's Fall Gathering. Unanimously elected as CBF's fourth Executive Coordinator in January 2019, Paul leads a Fellowship that spans nearly 1,400 congregations, thousands of individuals, 19 state and regional organizations, and 60-plus field personnel serving in 20 countries. He is a gifted preacher and teacher who has spent his tenure walking closely with this diverse, faithful community. At Fall Gathering, Paul will cast a vision for the future, sharing how he sees CBF not just surviving, but truly thriving over the next 30 years. If you've ever wondered where this Fellowship is headed, this is the conversation you want to be part of. We can't wait to gather around that vision together on November 5. A joyful day at Riverchase Baptist Church! Alabama CBF Coordinator Lucas Dorion joined the congregation for worship as they dedicated their newly renovated sanctuary. We celebrate with them and give thanks for all the ways this space will nurture faith, deepen community, and welcome neighbors in the years ahead. by @alabama_cbf

Jim Justice, FBC Williams At 93, Jim Justice is still scheming about what comes next. He's spent decades giving, serving, and encouraging — quietly, faithfully, and without ever asking to be noticed. We are so honored to introduce Jim as one of this year's Jones Founders' Award honorees. Come celebrate him on November 5th. He deserves to be in the room, and so do you. Ministers are tasked with many of the same responsibilities as secular leaders, such as supervising staff, visioning for the future, and navigating conflict. They are called to carry out these functions, however, as spiritual guides rather than as corporate bosses. But what does this look like when many of the available resources and role models are from the top-down business world? Join us for the Senior Pastors Retreat at this year's Fall Gathering workshop for ordained ministers. Credentialed coaches Laura Stephens-Reed and Brian Harfst will introduce participants to a coach approach to leadership.
