Hi! I’m Anastasia!

If you’re new here, here’s what I want you to know about myself and this tiny corner:

1️⃣. Everyone has a story. And I think we all have something to learn from each other’s stories! I’ve been drawn to people’s stories, and love helping tell + narrate a part of your story through my lens! 📸

2️⃣. I believe they are NOT “Just Photos” - They’re your memories. Reframe how you look at something you get to hold onto for forever. Embrace your memories. They’re all a gift. 🎥🎁

3️⃣. I like to create photos you can f e e l . Whether It’s all the chaos or all the joy, all the grit, strength, etc. So just bring yourself. Your REAL self. 🤌🏼 it doesn’t matter if you’re shy or nervous, uncomfortable, wild, or energetic. I will create the space where you can absolutely be yourself. (Would you rather have forced smiles? Or authentic moments?)

4️⃣.No- I don’t believe you’re not photogenic. So there’s no point in waiting any longer to take your photos! Don’t wait for the next year to pass, or to “lose that weight”, or whatever your excuse is! Let go of the idea of perfection. 🎞️

Fresh Friday.🥹🕊️

Get ready to dab your teary eyes.

There’s something about those first few weeks that makes time feel so strange.

If I tried to explain it, it’s like you’re living every minute of it, but somehow it’s already changing.

The tiny fingers, the sleepy stretches, and the way they scrunch on your chest.

You think you’re going to remember it all. (and maybe you’ll remember more than you think.)💭

But I believe the newborn photos give you a way to look back on the details you can’t put into words. 🤍

I think family pictures should feel more like *this*!

Everything from bolting up the hill to barreling down it.. straight into a cow pie (true story 😂), to being perfectly thrilled holding the piece of barbed wire they found as their prize if they smiled! 😆 This session was just So fun!

These are absolute proof that pictures don’t have to be ‘serious’ to be meaningful!

My most recent, most accurate selfie includes a house that hasn’t been cleaned. Endless “to-do’s”, sessions nearly everyday, and (5) kids who need me. I’ll be real- I do find it challenging sometimes! But When life gets hard, I think of people who had it harder.

It helps minimize my “hard”.

This is my grandma, her house was bombed as a child. Yes you read that correctly. She escaped with hardly anything. She lived in a time in Germany when there was hardly any food. And yet still found so much to be grateful for and happy about. She genuinely cared about people and their stories and she listened. And when you talked to her she made you believe in yourself! People like her help me keep going through the hard.

The lows make me question everything.

And the lightbulb moments remind me why I started.

I think we all feel like we have to have it “all figured out” to start sometimes.
