The charity shop came up trumps today (if early 60s R & B is your bag)... #vinylcommunitypost #60smusic #rarerecords #records #recordcollection #vinylrecords #vinyljunkie by @alan_static_traveller

Found a super clean OG US Presswell Pressing in a charity shop in the UK. I've never seen a US 1st before, and it plays beautifully. No noise even during A Song For You. This one is a keeper.

Static does country. Rare and sought after 1973 1st US pressing of Billy Joe Shaver's Old Five And Dimers Like Me on Monument. Desired for its strong material and exceptional pressing quality. Apparently.

An album that doesn't get shown often these days. In some ways, Tom seems firmly rooted in the 80s and early 90s. However, after years of not hearing it, it was a pleasure to revisit this record and remember what all the fuss was about.

UK DEMO copy of Marvin Gaye's 'Save The Children' single from 'What's Goin' On'. I don't think this received a release on 45 in the US.

'Under The Radar Records'. Lee Perry produced roots reggae LP from 1973. Lovely stuff, beautiful vocals, and even some experimental numbers closing each side.

'Mystery Street'. A very Film Noir sound from Eddie Calvert. This is actually the B side of the original 1953 release on 78 of 'Oh, Mein Papa'. Build My Gallows High, Baby.

Hipster beards really are nothing new. This superb portrait of William Reskimer was painted by Hans Holbein the Younger in the 1530s. #hipster #portraits #hansholbein #artists #painting #renaissance #hipsterbeard #beards by @alan_static_traveller
