Living in an answered prayer by @alannerose

The pictures don’t do it justice because I didn’t take many. I was present.

There is something about completely logging out of social media, work, notifications, and putting your phone down that just resets your soul. This Sabbath looked like hiking with friends and alone, worshipping for hours with the Lord, laughing until our stomachs hurt, lingering in coffee shops, sharing meals around a table, and spending time at a monastery learning about a rhythm of life centered on prayer, silence, and simply being with God.

It also looked like walking with my family through grief. I’m learning that grief and joy can live in the same hands. You can hold deep sorrow and deep gratitude at the same time.

More than anything, I’ve been overwhelmed by the Father’s love. His nearness, His kindness, and the reminder that I don’t have to perform or accomplish anything to be loved by Him.

Still processing all that He showed me, but I know I’m leaving this Sabbath rested, reminded, and forever transformed. 🤍 by @alannerose

Normally, I’d wait to post… but as I sit in my driveway tonight, I can’t help but pause and thank God for the joy I feel in this moment. For the women in my life, those He’s so graciously allowed me to walk through life with. I am deeply grateful.

I pray I never forget all that the Lord has done. I pray I always make time to sit at His feet. I’m far from perfect, and sometimes the thought creeps in… “Lord, are You sure You want me?” But in His quiet, steady way, He reminds me that I am His daughter and He will always choose me.

The Grove is a special place. Tonight is a night I never want to forget. 🤍 by @alannerose

Today I entered a new decade.

At thirty, I know what my yes costs.
I recognize God’s voice
when it interrupts my plans.
I am learning that healing is not linear
and holiness is rarely loud.

Sometimes joy looks like me
dancing in the middle of the street,
music leaking out of my headphones,
feet unbothered by who’s watching.

I have followed and walked away from dreams
I have found new desires aligned with His word
I have traveled the world alone
I have lived in different states
Airports have become writing rooms.
Coffee shops feel like confession.
A woman in ministry not with all the answers
but as a woman with oil on her hands
and stories in her bones.

Thirty teaches me
that God uses the woman who shows up
when the world may have given up on her
I love that God loves me
without requiring amnesia.
He doesn’t erase my story.
He redeems it.

What felt like delay was God doing deep work.
What felt like loss was Him making room.
What felt like confusion was an invitation to surrender.

There were versions of me that had to die
the one who rushed God’s timing,
the one who measured her worth by milestones,
the one who thought healing meant having it all figured out.

Jesus didn’t rush me.
He sat with me.
He stripped away what wasn’t rooted in Him and taught me how to live from identity, not performance.

Some seasons broke me open.
Others grew me
But in every moment, God was faithful, forming a woman who knows how to wait, trust, and rise with grace.

This isn’t the life I imagined when I was younger.
It’s better. because it’s real.
It’s surrendered.
It’s anchored in Christ, not comparison.

I’m not late.
I’m not lost.
I’m not starting over.

And I stand here
with scars on my knees,
Scripture in my chest,
and a quiet knowing that says:

I’m being made new.

This is resurrection work.
This is rebirth.
This is me becoming who God always knew I was.
