In September 2025 the exhibition 'date, time' by Alanas Gurinas @alanyla took place in the artist run space bb15 @bb15

The works and opening performance, reflected on the notion of shared space, the threshold defining an interior, and the exposure of what is usually closed.

I had the pleasure to write about these ideas in a text, thanks to Alana’s insight and a thoughtful editorial exchange with Sam Bunn @smokeincanvas

Now you can read 'shared interiors' in a PDF from gabrielagordillo.net/texts/

Or in the 'date, time' exhibition's link

IT040 🌳 Alanas Gurinas & Sholto Dobie ‘a hiss of light’ releases on the 19th. They’re in the UK at the moment, go and catch them if you can, come @cafeotodalston on Monday to see them and grab a disc

‘A Hiss of Light is the first recording made by sound artists Alanas Gurinas and Sholto Dobie. Both artists work with acoustic sound sculptures and self-made instruments made with everyday materials. In the case of Gurinas, vibrating and taught paper objects emit pulsing sine tones, organic chirps and shimmering noise that drift like weather fronts whilst in Dobie’s work, air is the main material, compressed and channeled through a set of valves, tubes and timers, into pipes of various origins.’

is an acoustic sound performance which uses paper as a main material for producing sound. Different kinds of papers are placed between two wooden clamps and with the help of weights are being strained till they find their resonance state. As a result different paper drone tones and textures are being produced. taken in Studium P by @alanyla
