my first time painting a person !

this one was copied by another painting, however, i wanted the meaning behind mine to represent something else. to me, the fisherman symbolizes a lifetime of dedication to his passion, showing the importance of sticking with things even when they’re hard. overall, i feel that older people are know to be very wise due to the fact that they’ve gone through a life of patience and learning from their mistakes-which is what this fisherman is entailing, even with a smile on his face :) by @alasskkkaaaa

my recent art project

it resembles doors in the Old City in Libya, in which are super unique and rustic. the concept is how doors open up to secrets and beauty that not everyone can see. before, Libya was part of the Ancient Roman Empire and so there’s a lot of historical relevancies that still exist there. i purposefully wanted it to look uneven and rough to accurately show how things naturally rust over time. the mosaic on the inside represents that through the patterns between contemporary and ancient Libyan history :) by @alasskkkaaaa
