Today we’re celebrating one year of the A-Layne Vocal Studio! Where we help people to “find their voice and master their sound.”

What started as a dream has become something so much bigger than I could have imagined.

Every lesson has been about more than just singing. It’s been about building confidence, discovering unique voices, and helping people discover their true sound and create art from a place of honesty.

I’m honored that God called me to this unique area of ministry. This business gave me friends all around the world. And I’m excited for us to continue to grow beyond what I could’ve even imagined!

Imagine being flown out ✈️🇧🇸 to sing to at a graduation ceremony and getting a last-minute song request… you don’t freeze, or immediately say no, you LOCK IN and give it your best!

VOCAL RUNS… a buzz 🐝 word in the musical community 🎶
People love hearing them but not everyone knows how to do it!

Here are some vocal tips on how to nail that vocal run you’ve been barely managing in that one song 👀:

TIP #1: SLOW IT DOWN! 🚶‍♀️

Don’t expect to get it on the first, second or even your third time at normal speed. Take the pressure off! 🤚 You’re not a bad singer, you just haven’t given your brain the correct tools to process the intricacies of the run so try S-L-O-W-I-N-G it down. Break it up into individual notes and gradually increase your speed each time.

TIP #2: PRACTICE THE RUN ON ANOTHER VOWEL 😮🎶

Practicing runs on the different singing vowels help you to build consistency and pitch accuracy throughout the different placements the vowels create in your voice! It takes you out of auto-pilot and helps you to create freedom in your voice and increase vocal agility! ➿
