New additions to the den 🐆🌴 After putting off this project for nearly 4 years, the wallpaper is finally up…! I just spent a week working super hard with mum, getting the house ready for Airbnb. This has been a cathartic process, bittersweet at times. I often take for granted the emotional attachment I have towards this space. My home represents far more than simply bricks and mortar; a host of both happy and sad memories; it’s my biggest achievement to date with enormous sentimental value. It’s scary to put it out into the world, but I am glad others will get to enjoy it while life calls elsewhere. by @albasden

Another angle 🥰 swipe for before! Finally... here is a little sneak peek of the new kitchen. Swipe for 😱 the before 😱 . The room has technically been ready for painting since last Summer, but 1. I couldn’t find a wall colour I liked and 2. it’s such a difficult room to photograph! . Like everywhere in the house, this room needed full gutting: removal of the wood-chip wallpaper, installing new lighting, new plumbing, new boiler, re-plastering, and floors needed treating and staining. . After being messed around by two different kitchen fitters who left without finishing the job, I managed to convince Mr T to do the finishing touches and we finally painted the room in March this year. Of course I ended up using Railings here too, and painting the ceilings (and spotlights) for extra continuity with the wall units. I don’t like outdated decor rules and it really doesn’t make the room look smaller, just more interesting and unique! . I’m still in love with these burnt copper door knobs I found after months of hunting... . . . . . #kitchendesign #kitchendecor #kitchenremodel #interiordesign #homedecor #homedesign #kitcheninspo #kitcheninspiration #kitchensofinstagram #kitchenrenovation #decor #interiors #renovation #kitchenideas #kitchengoals #kitchencabinets #newkitchenreveal #quartzcountertops #bluekitchen by @albasden
Hallway progress coming up next... . Keeping the original woodwork may not save you time, but you WILL save a ton of money and you will have good quality wood in your home, plus who doesn’t love a bit of history and character!? Spindles are a b***h to strip, sand and paint but aren’t they pretty in dark? 🧙🏻‍♀️🔮 . I definitely want to have a dark hallway so I’ll probably end up painting the other half of the walls a similar colour and wallpaper the rest. Still trying to work out how to work it all around the skylight above the staircase... . . . . #quarantinediy #hallwayinspo #newhallway #house #home #design #interiordesign #london #Londoninteriors #londondesign #architecture #interiordesigner #renovation #interiorstyling #victorian #lovelondon #myhometoinspire #myhouse #myhousebeautiful #interiorarchitecture #homedetails #londonhouse #happyhome #renolife #darkinteriors #styleitdark #darkdesign by @albasden

Bedroom light 😍 we picked up this beautiful pink leather chair at an old book/vintage shop in Lyme Regis for £30.
