I had this project in mind for some time, but patience is required for such a big plan - it needs the perfect conditions! With the recent fresh snow, the conditions were challenging, but just right for the ultimate long lines in this breathtaking area…

There’s something truly special about first ascents. It’s the uncertainty—the uncertainty of making the unknown possible, the uncertainty of staying within one’s own limits, or the uncertainty of maintaining focus until the very end.

Equinox 50/50 - from today on, days will be shorter than the nights…
Slowly, the colors of the landscape are changing, the leaves are falling from the trees, and our passions are shifting. Winter is just around the corner, and the excitement for skiing and the winter season is growing!
In this equilibrium, I feel secure enough to live out my dreams.

The magic of the Arlberg mountains draws us in not only in winter. No, even in summer, our connection to the white mountains remains strong. Bouldering on the lonely and hidden granite blocs of the ‚Hinteres Kartell’ is something special and reminds us anew of our deep connection to our beloved Arlberg and gets us excited for the coming winter @skiarlberg_stanton …

Das hintere Kartell zählt in seiner Einsamkeit zu den magischen Plätzen des Arlbergs. Grund genug um auch im Sommer einmal bei der @darmstaedter_huette_verwall vorbei zu schauen und den feuerroten Gneis in der Südwand der Faselfadspitze zu genießen. Die sieben Seillängen vom ‚Duschmarkenkartell‘ (VI+) lohnen sich für die weite Anreise mit dem Bike auf jeden Fall!

In its remoteness, the Hinteres Kartell ranks among the magical spots of the Arlberg. That’s reason enough to stop by the @darmstaedter_huette_verwall even in the summer and take in the fiery-red gneiss on the south face of the Faselfadspitze. The seven pitches of “Duschmarkenkartell” (VI+) are definitely worth the long bike ride!

‚Hintergrat’ to king Ortler 3905m
This iconic route has it all—stunning views, breathtaking rock climbing, steep ice, and massive crevasses. With an early start (3:45) @hintergrathuette it is a long day out (10-12h). In total, you’ll tackle 1,300 meters of elevation gain on the ascent and over 2,000 meters on the descent—goosebumps and beads of sweat guaranteed!
