ENG
The first invasive artwork in the exhibition Palán Palán at Centro Parraga is by artist Lorenzo Sandoval (Madrid, 1980).

In this fast-moving, decadent world in a state of constant collapse, Lorenzo’s proposal looks to the past, not with nostalgia, but to help us face the present. It invites us to think about interconnection and collaboration as ways of challenging the increasingly aggressive power structures of an apparatus (Michel Foucault).

The work, titled “Colectivización” (Collectivisation), is a Jacquard textile made in collaboration with the collective Texdencia (UPV) in 2019.

Last Thursday marked the closing of @jorgelopezgaleria 2025/26 season with LAB_1 + 1 = T-S-H-Y-S (To See How You See), an exhibition conceived around a simple premise: five gallery artists each invited another artist to share the exhibition space, opening up a series of conversations between different practices, sensibilities, and ways of seeing.

For my part, I had the pleasure of inviting @liviadaniel_ , whose work I first encountered exactly one year ago. Bringing our works together in the same space felt like a natural continuation of that first encounter.

Urgency, fragility, and unexpected encounters born of a shared reality are among the ideas that come to mind when I think about the dialogue between our works.

Participating artists: Inma Femenía + Carmen Andreu; Álvaro Porras + Alfredo Burguera; Alberto Feijóo + Livia Daniel; Pablo Bellot + Teresa Camacho; and Ana Ciscar + Lucía Mir.

Every exhibition leaves a trace.
Conservation + documentation = the artwork’s memory.
Without it, the art exists once. With it, the art becomes a map.

Trascity Rack (2023)
This rack is more than a functional object. It acts as a silent repository of memories, expectations, and dreams. Every empty space suggests an absence; every imagined garment carries the trace of a story or a desire.

The structure becomes a threshold between what has been, what is, and what could be. It holds the weight of past experiences while simultaneously making room for future possibilities.

In this way, the rack functions as a metaphor for the human condition: a place where memories are stored, hopes are suspended, and dreams wait for their moment to take shape.
