It’s the mercy of God to allow us to lose everything we’ve got to realize that he’s everything we need. It’s also the mercy of God to give us everything we got to realize that it’ll never be enough.
-
“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his mercies never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
Lamentations 3:22–23

Road Trip from August to IDAHO
-
Trip Bible Study:
“And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy; giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭9‬-‭14‬ ‭
-
This trip was amazing from multiple aspects, managed to drive 50 hours in 4 sitting, saw so much God’s beautiful creation, met some amazing people who I’m now able to call family, and got the privilege of asking for the most amazing girl’s hand for life.
-
The trip as a whole was beautiful but it was nothing compared to the girl who I was sitting in the passenger seat. The Lord has been so good and I know He will continue to be. Through the difficult season and easy ones, he will be praise! Wanna know why? Because of Exodus 15:18
“The LORD will reign forever and ever.”

Also, HUGE thanks to @macyn.macayla for the 10/10 photos

“The Lion of Judah”

Free handed with Prisma Colored Pencils

This drawing wasn’t something that I planned but instead, it was something that made its way and found me. I’ve worked on this very inconsistently for the past two years and it’s helped me get through a lot, well actually, God’s moved a lot and this is just one of the many ways he’s reminded me of his grace and mercy.
-
One of the most powerful moments in the book of Revelation when John hears about a Lion, expecting a mighty conqueror, but when he looks, he sees a Lamb that had been slain (Revelation 5:6). The image shows that Jesus conquers not by force, but through His death and resurrection.

So, the title “Lion of Judah” points to Jesus as:

* The promised King from the tribe of Judah.
* The heir to David’s throne.
* The powerful, victorious Messiah.
* The One who defeated sin and death through His sacrifice.
-
Through the difficult seasons, God has reminded me again and again that he is sovereign. Whatever it is, it’s in his hands, and that he’s going to make a way through it. Christ is KING.
-
I’d love to sell this piece, or maybe copies of it. If you’re interested in it, please DM me! Also, if you need prayer for absolutely anything, please DM me!

PUERTO RICO!!!
-
Last month God made a way for me to go with @txstaia to Puetro Rico with 40 other student athletes to serve and grow in our faith and understanding of who Christ is.
-
We went through 5 different principles of how to approach our sport in light of the Gospel. In light of God’s unwavering love for us. We learned to not worship the game but to be able to worship through it. To rely on Him when the “hurtin’ is certain”. And to see that he is my satisfaction. Nothing or no one else can compare to who He is.
-
On the trip we had a workout that lasted ~20 hours. Seems crazy, it was. I almost quit after the second hour, but I didn’t. This wasn’t because of my own man power pushing me on, it wasn’t because I didn’t want to feel embarrassed, and it wasn’t out of the feeling of obligation. I got through all 20 hours of it because of the strength of God.

It was one of the most physically difficult things I’ve ever done in my life. God moved by putting me on a team that reflected Him so well! They consistently encouraged me to fall back on Him every time I felt like calling it. They would ask me, “what’s your truth?”, “why?”, “what’s your focal point?”, “why?”. I’d answer them…
-
“IM SATISFIED BY GOD, BECAUSE HES ENOUGH!”
“The scar on my finger, it reminds me of when I injured my finger and couldn’t do my sport for a bit of time. At the time, my worth and everything was in my sport. I felt hopeless. But now knowing Jesus, I know that I would feel sad but not defeated about it. I know that Jesus Christ is King and with Him I am SATISFIED.”
-
Jesus got me through that and I know that I can trust in Him. He is more than I could ever dream.
-
Also got to see some of God’s amazing work in Puerto Rico. The mountains, bays, culture, fields, animals, people, all by an amazing God.
-
God is enough.

“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.”
