Big news! 🇺🇸➡️🇸🇪

What in 2010 was first intended to be only one year in Orlando before moving back home to Finspång turned into 16 years of adventures that far surpassed my wildest imagination. My goal for that first year included three things: become somewhat fluent in English, play American football, and take an American history class (learning about American history from the perspective of an American classroom seemed like a really cool opportunity).

All these years later, I not only found new goals along the way, but I also accomplished goals that I would never have considered to be within the realm of possibility in the first place.

I somehow found myself acting and singing on stage, in the very language I once hoped I’d get good enough at to be conversational in. I pushed through college and ended up with a degree in something far from what I ever thought I’d go for.

I was lucky enough to get to work for companies like Universal Studios and Disney for several years. The lessons, the pride, the relationships created, and the unbelievable number of wild stories from the theme park world in Florida will stay with me forever.

However, without a doubt, the best part about my time here has, of course, been the friends and family I have made.

So now, before I turn this post into a novel, I send a sincere and heartfelt “thank you” to my friends, family, and the places I’ve called home for these last 16 years.

The love of my life - Shelby, our three dogs, and two cats are now making our way to Sweden to continue our adventure over there!

This guy turned 7 years old a few days ago (the dog, not me). Right now, we’re enjoying a beer (me, not the dog) on the patio after some yard work in this lovely weather. Overall, we think life is pretty darn wonderful (both me and dog).

I don’t post very often nowadays but this felt like a good moment to immortalize. ❤️ by @albinfromsweden
