🏔️ TAKING THE STRAIN FOR MEINS…DONE…with a plot twist!!! ❤️

What started as a challenge to climb Snowdon as many times as possible over the Bank Holiday weekend turned into something we definitely didn’t expect…

5 summits. 75+ km. 5,000m+ elevation. A LOT of rain. 🌧️😂

And somewhere along the way, we met Angie, who had injured her knee on the way down. So naturally, our mannequin’s chariot became Ange’s chariot, and we carried her safely back down the mountain! ❤️

We spoke to hundreds of people along the way, handed out loads of QR codes, collected donations and raised around £6,000 for Meinir’s urgent cancer treatment. 🙏

A massive thank you to @nickhclark @cai_rowlands144 and @moonhead_media who joined us for a lap, all who donated, shared, cheered us on or simply stopped for a chat.

What a weekend. What a mountain. What a brilliant bunch of people. ❤️🏔️

🏔️ TAKING THE STRAIN FOR MEINS ❤️

This Bank Holiday weekend, we’re heading to Snowdon with one goal…to see how many times we can get up and down it in three days, while raising money towards the specialist cancer treatment Meinir urgently needs.

From 9am Friday 28th until 9am Monday 31st August, we’ll be based at the bottom of the Llanberis Path, outside the Royal Victoria Hotel, and we’re hoping to get as many people involved as possible.

We’re putting together a Welsh scarecrow/dummy, which will be carried up and down the mountain with us throughout the challenge. So if you see a slightly unusual looking group making their way up Snowdon, you’ll know you’ve found us! 😂

Enjoyed getting back between the tapes at the recent pearce cycles race.
Managed to wangle a 3rd in elite on the trail bike.
First dh race in 4 years so the race runs were messy to say the least!

I’ve managed to fit in quite a bit in the last couple of months.
Pics 1,2 Triglavski national park, slovenia. 3,4 Pula, Croatia. 5,6 An insightful, educational and inspirational evening walking in Cwm Idwal with Iolo Williams learning about the flora, fauna and the welsh language. Dwi wedi bod yn dysgu cymraeg ers 2018 rwan, felli roedd yn grêt gallu dallt a siarad efo fo yn y gymraeg. Mae o’n mor angerddol am y cefn gwlad a’r iaith. 7,8 Krkonoše National Park, Czech Republic. And finally, seeing Nine inch nails live in Manchester, which was incredible!! by @albondracing

Throwback to Llangollen bds 2017. Somehow wangled a 2nd ahead of some top boys. After pretty much a finish to my racing in 2014, to come back for a podium was unreal! Gutted to have missed out on racing this weekend, but there are a lot of people wanting coaching these days!!!ha by @albondracing

Guided E-bike lap around the Ceiriog and Dee valleys. 26km and 4000ft climbed, loads of trails, the odd green lane and a couple of crashes to round it off haha! Good day! by @albondracing
