The semi shaved bay!!! The evolution of the bay!!
Yep looks no different 😂😂😂 main thing was to get rid of all the holes/brackets and lip off the chassis legs.
Probably spent from start to finish about 80 grilling hours just to get to this point, most hours are down to not knowing and redoing a fair amount……. But none of the hours matter if I didn’t learn!

At my expense I’ve learned a great deal, if it cost me my own time then it worth every penny!!

All are Primers and fillers sanded!!! 30hours sanding, no fingers left just stumps, nails sanded in one direction and now too short (at least I won’t need to cut them for 3 years 😂
Tomorrow I’m going to run a small bead of sealer round some of the edges/diverts and panel joins!
To even get to this point has been unbelievably hard and probably about 70/80 hours into so far!!!

Finally!!!!!!!

Finished my take on fabrication!! Holes,brackets,studs,cuts,rust and all that other bollocks that when with making my bay just look a little neater!

Even went to the trouble of cutting the big lips off the chassis legs, butt welding them a few times over to stop cracking (I hope) looks better already

Added a few little touches like, removing scuttle panel and that heater plastic box for a nice louvered vent.

Bits I would do differently next time get the car sandblasted that would save a whole lot of trouble and time!!

Few more little things to finish tomorrow then on to getting epoxy primer hopefully over the weekend! On to the next stage 🙈
