🟠🔵 Well God did it again. Just like with the Mets, I grew up an Islanders fan, from day 1. I’ve been to literally hundereds of games, basically grew up at Nassau Coliseum. Countless playoff games, memories and moments that are some of my absolute favorite in life. Also a lot of painful ones with this team, but I’m a die hard. Singing the National Anthem with a sold out UBS Arena and for all the Isles fans tuned in from home was absolutely surreal and means more to me than most will ever understand. Getting to do it on Hockey Fights Cancer Night and with my sister, an Army pilot, in the crowd was extra special. Thank you @ny_islanders I love this organization, I love this team, and I am truly humbled and grateful. God is so faithful 🙏🏼

I’ve been a die hard Mets fan all my life. I was at Shea Stadium when they won the Pennant in 2000. I can still see Timo Perez jumping up and down in center field before he caught the final out. From Shea to CitiField, I’ve been to way more games then I could ever count. Experiencing both incredible moments and disappointing losses. Growing up a baseball player I once dreamed of being a Met, those dreams changed as I got older and learned what God was really calling me to. The funny thing is, being at all those games, I never once dreamed of singing the National Anthem because I never thought it would be possible. Somehow God wildly exceeds our dreams, and well, He is the God of the impossible. While I’ll never take the field as a player, He still made a way for me to take the field. I come from a military family and so having the opportunity to sing this nation’s anthem at all is a huge honor and means so much to me but to get to do it for my favorite team was beyond anything I dreamed of and a completely surreal moment for me. Thank you @mets from the bottom of my heart. I’m grateful, I’m blessed and it’s a moment I’ll never forget. 🙏🏼🍎
