Surge 2026: Quiescence

first ever choreographed item.. i have honestly so much to say but insta word limit will get me

thank you @thenraofficial for this opportunity, when i first got the news that i was going to choreograph for surge, i was overjoyed yet overwhelmed with so many emotions. when i realized i had the responsibility of leading an item on my own, i had so many questions, “Am I really capable enough to do this on my own?”, so many what ifs, doubts, etc after it was announced to me. i really wondered whether or not i was trustable enough to do an item on my own, moreso an open contemp item… a genre i myself was still exploring.

my journey as a choreographer was difficult yet so fulfilling, i got to see dance in such a new perspective just by being a choreographer. it was definitely not easy doing my item up on my own, the many choreo blocks, random sparks of inspiration, the many pracs filled with just experimenting and even spontaneous ideas happening during my pracs. at times i did feel very stuck and alone on this journey but im so glad to have so much support from other people and my friends. thank you for being there for me in this journey, not sure if i could do it without your support.

to my dancers, Tonee, Alayna, Yewon, Rezvana, Syamimi, Lisa, Raye, Celestiel, Stella, Cherilyn, i think i have said what i wanted to say to you all individually in my letters. however i cannot emphasise how grateful to have you all as my dancers, laughing along with me as i make random sounds bcoz of the song, being patient with me during the creation of the item, being such joys during my pracs and so many more things. you all made my wednesday evenings so fulfilling and fun, i’m so grateful to have everyone of you as my dancers. thank you for putting yourself in my item, quiescence wouldn’t have shined if your individual seeds were not planted in it.

aaaanddd shes a champion! s24 dday was genuinely such a huge blur to me and winning champion genuinely just felt so surreal. never expected to close off my s24 journey in this way 😢

i think having failed the first time really filled my heart and mind with doubts, wondering if i am really worthy of standing on that square, wondering if i can really do it or not; but i had set my mind on achieving my dream of standing on that stage. i wanted my failure from my first experience to be my drive for super 24.

4 months had passed by incredibly fast. 4 months of training, sharing silly moments and beauty world suppers. this is time i’d truly never replace, being able to train in super24 has truly been one of my favourite experiences.

thank you to Arif and Kel for trusting me to be part of this team, i’m so glad i get to represent NRA on the square and i’m also so glad i got to do this with the other 23 of yall. you guys made these 4 months super fulfilling and special, i’m so proud of us for winning champion 🤍

That one hanbin fan goes to see zb1 again.. i lowkey felt emotional during here i am… Boys planet was 2 years ago.. Feels very motherly to watch them ever since the release of here i am LOL! Lets hope on that contract extension…pls

first platform class.. kinda nervous! i definitely pushed myself for this one cuz i have never tried choreographing to an fboy song but i am very proud of what we presented :3 i had a lot of fun choreographing this w celine 🥹🫶 we were truly on the same wavelength whilst choreographing and our vision truly came alive :3

#funfact i only signed up to do platform after the deadline got extended but i’ll never regret it! as im now delving into that realm of choreographing so when that opportunity is presented to me i should take it right 😊 truly grateful for all the opportunities nra provides 🩷

lastly, thank u to everyone who came or even signed up in the first place it really means a lot to me. i hope yall had fun w our choreo 🫶🫶

i may have messed up this take and my execution couldve been much better.. but its okay! i had a lot of fun and this was definitely a push for me, choreography and also dance wise 👯👯

danzation post :P

i have so much to say actually but i dont want to put word essay on my insta post haha.. in summary, if you gave me a choice to go back to the past 5 months to change anything, i wouldn’t. the past 5 months of danzation prep were the best 5 months of my life. i got to learn and do so much and even talked to so much more people.

i want to thank all my choreographers, Jayne, Kyra, Charlene, Arif, Chris and Mel for pushing me so much during pracs. i got to do genres i have never tried before and also express myself in ways i would’ve never thought i would. i also want to thank NRA for providing me with this experience, without joining NRA i would have never pushed myself this much in terms of dance and it’s something i am truly so grateful for.

also, i wanted to include all my friends and family who came down to support me but i dont have the 20 posts (FMLLLLLLLL) yall really gave me the extra strength during all these pracs to show you guys the best version of myself on stage. thanks for being there for me even when i couldn’t be constantly around. by @ale304r
