I’ve been holding onto a little secret for a while now.

Not because I didn’t want to share it and definitely not because I was trying to be secretive but because I wanted to protect it. Over the past few months, I’ve learned that not everything has to be shared while it’s happening. Sometimes the less outside energy around a dream, the more peace you have to focus on it. I wanted to keep this one close to my heart until I knew it was real.

A year ago, I graduated from esthetics school and thought this moment would come much sooner. Life had other plans. There were a few unexpected bumps in the road that forced me to wait, even when I felt ready. Looking back now, maybe it just wasn’t my time yet. Maybe everything had to happen exactly when it did so I could appreciate this moment even more.

I also wasn’t sure how everything would turn out so I wanted to wait until I knew for certain.

So now that it’s official…

✨ I’m officially a Licensed Esthetician ✨

This moment means more to me than I can put into words. Thank you to everyone who supported me, believed in me, prayed for me and cheered me on. This dream took patience, faith and persistence but we made it 🙌🏻

I also want to give a special thank you to Ms. Gabi and Ms. Bri at @theartofskingc 🤍 Thank you for opening your space to me, welcoming me with so much kindness and helping me prepare for my practical exam. You gave me the confidence to walk into that testing room feeling ready and I truly don’t think I would’ve felt as prepared without your guidance. Your generosity and encouragement meant more than you know and I’ll always be grateful for the way you poured into me. You two are truly angels.

Here’s to answered prayers, perfect timing and finally becoming everything I worked so hard to be ✨🤍
