“Like scattered seeds, memories bloom forever” -unknown

💙💜September is suicide awareness month 💜💙 On Jun 20th of 2020 I lost my mother to suicide. This is a pain that no one should ever have to experience but unfortunately it happens to other family’s like mine nearly everyday. My mom never got to see me grow up in high school and won’t see the rest of my senior year. I decided to take some senior pictures in her wedding dress to honor her. I wish with all my heart that she could have been standing there next to me! but the closest I could get was holding her in a picture frame. My mother was kind, positive and energetic and loved her family more than anything in the world! But when covid hit she was filled with depression and anxiety this later led her to suicide. If I could go back in time and change her choice I would but unfortunately the choice she made was a permanent solution to a very much temporary problem. I am absolutely positive that if she could see the heartache she caused she wouldn’t have done it. If you are struggling know that it’s not permanent! You are loved more than you know! Don’t make a permanent choice! There is so much more to live for!

Happy Mother’s Day Mom!

I had a friend ask me the other day “Is Mother’s Day hard for you?” I responded that it’s not the most difficult day for me because I get to celebrate her and all the other influential women I have in my life. Grief is different for everyone some people hate special days like this one others love to keep their loved one’s memory alive. The worst days for me are the random days in-between. It’s the days when I get sick and want my moms comforting hug, the days when I find out exciting news and want to share it with her, it’s the days that I need advice but only really want hers. Those days are the hardest. Mother’s Day and all the other special days I’m able to prepare for. I’m able to take a day where I know my mom should be here to celebrate and celebrate not only her but all the other influential women in my life. The women that have stepped into my life and loved me when I needed it most. The women who showed up for prom dress shopping and all the other things my mom should’ve been at. The women who grew me and planted flowers in my life. Thank you to all of those women, you all deserve all the love on this day.

Ohh mom if only you could have seen what an impact you made on this earth. You left an imprint on all of the people around you. You created so much sunshine and love. You built and loved a community of people that are poring that love back into all of your children. I still get to see you in each of my siblings. Jack has your beautiful smile, Kate has your loving heart, Drew has your charm, and Reed has your laugh. Thank you for giving me them to do life with.
