Allegedly the reason why New York bagels are so good is because of the water they get boiled in.

1st photo is the famous rainbow bagels at Liberty Bagels near Wall Street. I got the usa one with strawberry cream cheese. Huge bavels with a fantastic amount of cream cheese which was a nice consistency and good flavor.

2nd photo is the very first meal we had when we got to the city, and we crossed diagonally across city into the East Village. This is my accidental go-to bagel order: blt with mustard on everything. My very 1st nyc post ever explains why. Anyways, this place hit the marks and you can see how good of bacon it was. Wonderful experience. taken in New York, New York by @aleah.ate

STILL GOOD @upsidepizza: 8.5/10

I’ve already reviewed this place after my 1st trip to New York but I felt like it’s good enough for a 2nd post. For the same slice. It is my favorite pizza I’ve had in New York so far - I think it’s far from the best, I just haven’t found that yet.

I love that they use this type of pepperoni. They’re smaller and thicker. I love upside’s pepperoni pizza because it’s greasy, salty, and they don’t skip on the peps.

This is at the SoHo location of course.

A LIL ITALIAN BEFORE ALADDIN @joespizzanyc: 7.5/10

I can’t quite remember all of my thoughts on Joe’s, but I do remember not really being that impressed. Don’t come at me.

I got pepperoni slice and margerita (?) slice. Dough was thin, pepperoni one was salty and greasy enough. Went to the Broadway one duh on our way to see Aladdin. It was quite a rush scurrying down Broadway, stuffing our face with pizza because we were running late. taken in Broadway Street by @aleah.ate

1.5 YEARS LATER & STILL TALKING ABOUT @bluebottle: 11/10

This is the best coffee I’ve ever had in my entire life. Yes, Caffeinated.

This too-modern, very pretentious coffee chain is worth the hype and all the little stores all over the city are 100% called for. I recommend this place to everyone who’s going to New York. They’re in a handful of other places too, but idk where.

The first photo, I just got their classic latte iced. They have their own house syrup. The 2nd one I tried their seasonal cherry blossom one (this was in Spring 2025). Both were just so creamy smooth and the plain one was just decadent I’d say. Perfect balance of coffee flavor with a little sweetness and milk. Didn’t taste overdone. taken in NYC by @aleah.ate

REAL TEXANS EAT @chicken_e: 10/10

My chicken express experiences are always a 10/10. My standard order is spicy tenders, Mac n cheese, roll, gravy, and a fat sweet tea. This was Sophia’s first time in Texas so this was a mandatory stop and I’m happy to say that it was a hit 👊🏽 taken in Livingston, Texas by @aleah.ate

WHAT’S MORE MIDWEST THAN CHOCOLATE CORN @traderjoes: 7/10

Since this video, I think I could rate these chocolate covered dry corn even higher. The most pleasant surprise snack I’ve ever tried honestly. The saltiness of the dried corn just goes so well with the chocolate - and they don’t skimp on the chocolate shell either. POTATO CHEESE BITE THINGS @caseys: 8/10

Perfectly fried outer shell, cheesy potato inside. Kind of like a chunky tater tot consistency, but when I first bit into it, it made me think of fried mac n cheese. The shape of them reminded me of Bo-Bites from Bojangles 🫶🏽. I love the Midwest. taken in Dyersville, Iowa by @aleah.ate

GRAZING @boroughmarket: *swipe/scroll for various scores*

@turnipsborough: 8/10 I did try one of the *cringe* viral chocolate covered strawberries and they were indeed very yummy. The most beautiful strawberries for sure, but you have to eat fresh right off the bat because when the chocolate hardens it’s hard to eat.

@bathsoftcheese: 9.5/10 This was a truffle like mac n cheese and potato au gratin. Lots of onion, garlic, and cheese. So creamy and flavorful I miss it.

@breadaheadbakery: 6.2/10 some cinnamon roll type thing. It was perfectly fine - not bad. Maybe a tad tough. Tasted good.

7.9/10 Meat Pie! Can’t remember which stall this was or what exactly I got, but pretty sure it was a basic meat pie. The crust was buttery and flaky, and the filling was warm and gravy-licious. taken in Borough Market London England by @aleah.ate

FIRST DRINK ON THE GRID @knoopschocolate: 10/10

A cafe dedicated to chocolate drinks (hot chocolate, mochas, milkshakes) is my literal dream.

They have over 20 different chocolate “percentages” to choose from that are just like different recipes and concentrations of cocoa. Kinda hard to explain but an example is “34% Ethiopian dark chocolate: notes of blah blah blah”.

*please don’t try this at home*

Not food related but bioluminescence water is one of the coolest things I’ve seen and it kinda makes it even better that it doesn’t pick up on camera.

This was in a bay in Puerto Rico with a guided tour - 10/10 recommend.

The water was very salty and no, I do not recommend drinking the glowing water. by @aleah.ate

3rd WHEELING A BRO-DATE @chowyumbr: 8.8/10

I got Wild Chow wings: sweet heat Korean glaze, crack crunch (idk what that was), yuzu aioli and I think their blackberry marg (which was bitter and strong).

The wings were fried perfectly, had just that little touch of greasiness, the sauce was nice and sticky and perfect sweet/spicy balance, and the scallions actually did add to them. I think because it was a light and bright, crisp bite texture and added a little fresh bitter flavor to the heavier flavors. taken in Baton Rouge, Louisiana by @aleah.ate

NOT MY FIRST DONUT RODEO @rodeo_uk: 9/10

This English donut shop does old fashioned donuts and I just got the original because the glaze just looked so satisfyingly delectable - don’t judge.

It really was just a really good donut with a thick layer of sweet glaze and I ate it while watching the changing of the guards at Windsor Castle.

The other pics are in Canterbury which is where we went after this and I just want to remember that stop bc we didn’t eat anywhere there. taken in Windsor, England, UK by @aleah.ate
