Memories of my little one are all that we have now 💛. Our son Khalil Mustapha Muhammad has made his transition to Allah. We are sad but we are full with the memories of His life. There are no words to describe the pain that we feel. The pain that I as his mother feel of his passing. But I trust in the one true God that his death will serve a greater purpose than his life would. Khalil was 2 years old. He was a happy child overall. He spent some time being ill but he was a fighter. He was very athletic, very musically inclined, loved to read, laugh and be around his family. We could not have foreseen this but all things happen on the timing of the Lord. There’s so much to learn from the short life that he lived. And although it was short it was in fact very meaningful. May Allah forever be pleased. by @aleahmuhammad

I created this video to show an example of what a whole complete meal could look like. This is not a perfect example but an example nonetheless for those who may be interested in doing One Meal A Day.

The idea is to a COMPLETE meal. Usually each meal for us would start off with bean soup but what’s not captured it’s our vanilla/navy bean shakes for desert, (don’t knock it until you try it 😝). So we decided to have tomato soup as a starter.

The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad in How To Eat To Live said:

“Many of my followers write and tell me of the results they are receiving from eating one meal a day or one meal every other day. This will produce good results and lengthen our lives. But children should not be forced to fast or to eat once a day or once every other day.” by @aleahmuhammad

I always loved this photo of Mother.

It is Mother Khadijah’s example of a mother, wife, and a BELIEVER, that I think of constantly, that gives me the drive to continue past the struggle and not make excuses.

My love, thoughts and prayers are with The Farrakhan Family and all of those who loved her.

May Allah be pleased and her example live on forever ✨💜 by @aleahmuhammad

It’s a celebration almost everyday when you have a good husband and father as we are blessed to have.

So I’m going to smell good, glisten, look good, and cook good meals for this man (among other things) for as long as I am able.

To the man of my dreams, @abdulmuhammad who supports, maintains, provide, love, and honors us ❤️.

Side note: the level of excitement he has whenever I cook pasta is crazy lol. I RARELY cook it so that I can help lengthen his life 😁.

How to eat to live Book 1 “Do not eat spaghetti and macaroni at every meal. If you are over-weight, do not eat it at any meal, and if you want to live a long time, do not eat it at any meal. Foods such as spaghetti and macaroni are processed, not cooked thoroughly, and are hard to digest.” - The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad by @aleahmuhammad

I am still becoming. Not where I was but far from where I need to be.

But, I just want you to know; how you see yourself will dictate your actions.

The actions you make will let us know how you see yourself.

Many of us have some love for self even when it doesn’t seem that way because you become fed up and tired of living a life that you know is beneath you.

Many of us also do not change because the strength to do so is not always there.

Change is not easy, but the first step is to develop an intimate relationship and connection with your Creator, and only then will you gain the strength to make a change. by @aleahmuhammad

Move slow and prioritize what is most important in your home and I can tell you it is VERY important that you spend time caring for and nurturing your children while they are young.

Make your house a home with peace, love, and patience.

And know this…

“Next to God, there is nothing more sacred, more wonderful, more powerful than a mother. Anything that interferes with your ability to mother properly is an enemy of God.” -The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan.

How I rear my children part 5:

It’s one thing to teach them but it’s another level of teaching when you incorporate material that further instill positive images and beliefs that can carry them throughout their lives.

This is what I would call being intentional about raising my children.

I love these books. WE love these books. I would recommend 10/10 for any of my sisters who value this kind of learning❤️ @simplyneemachildren 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾

Learning how to sew modest clothing Part 1: Here’s a few things I am learning.

1. I’m discovering the difference between what is considered tight, and what is considered fitted 🥴. Because sis I’m still coming out of the world while trying to be pleasing to my Lord lol.

2. Length and size can be tricky to me. Size 2, 4, and 6, is just not translated the same for every pattern that I use.

3. Speaking of patterns, PDF patterns are my favorites to use but takes SO much time and doesn’t always give room for error when it comes to sizing.

4. Lastly, I really just need to use a ruler and measuring tape more. I want to eye everything because it’s usually me sewing vs. the children (time wise) and the children take precedence over everything. I can’t spend too long on a project, or it will never get done. I be trying to get done QUICK.

This fabric is 3 years old. I don’t know the name of it and I don’t think I would buy too much more of it because it stains and loses its color very easily. 😁. by @aleahmuhammad

How I rear my children Part 4:

3 years in this thang and let me tell you, my nerves are JUST settling. 😁

But no for real, since being apart of this program there are a few things that I’ve learned that you should know (#4 is especially important).

1. Learning is not an age thing, it is a mind thing. Children who have a love for learning can learn much more at one time.

2. Don’t take too many days off with learning. Repetition is really KEY!
We all need breaks as parents, but I’m learning how to pace myself and reinforce learning in creative and helpful ways for both of us.

3. Sit down learning should be accompanied by hands on activities and real world application. They need to know why what they’re learning is important.

4. IMPORTANT!!! : Spend longer on certain concepts if need be. When a child’s attention is lost in school where there once was interest it is often because they missed something that is leading to a lack of understanding which leads to a lack of focus and interest.

Although there’s no rush, I would encourage us to be involved in their learning because many of our children have the capacity to move at a faster pace and learn more. by @aleahmuhammad

I don’t know how long I’m going to be a beginner at this rate y’all, but it takes as long as it takes lol.

I just want to let you all know in advance that I’m going for very basic sets this summer… yet with a good summer feel.

The fabric I am using right now is a few years old — so it’s not the summer feel I’m going for. But, I thought it’d be good to use for something we have coming up.

Stay tuned for the follow up of “So, I sewed this: sewing my clothes for the summer” to see the finished product 😁.

This Unit: How To Sew; of the 7 units given to the Muslim Girl in Training within the Nation of Islam. It is a class that teaches how to keep house, how to rear their children, how to take care of their husbands, sew, cook and, in general, how to act at home and abroad. #homeisourbase #notourplace by @aleahmuhammad
