What an amazing @ibjjf Pan Kids this year!

Brabo demais!

🇦🇺 One photo. Seven hearts, if you look closely.
All of us in our gis at @theacademybyronbay , the place that has filled our family with joy since @thalisonvsoares and @millicentmccourt took over the gym.
Amazing how a single image can hold so much love, growth and a little future on the way. One day to be lifetime remembered! 🤍

How good was that! 🔥🥋 A full day on the mats with two absolute GOATs, Marcelo Garcia and Tainan Dalpra, right here at home in Byron Bay. So much knowledge shared, good vibes and great people coming together in our little Jiu Jitsu paradise. Huge shoutout to The Academy Byron Bay for putting together such an epic day. 🤙🏼❤️

🇪🇺🇵🇹🥋 Semi Finals by @alebejj

2026 IBJJF European Kids NoGi 🇵🇹🥋 | Our Side of the Story

We’ve stayed quiet for a week, enjoying our family holiday and helping Ale process what happened in the final.

Ale was leading 2–0 when, in the final seconds, his opponent claimed he’d bitten his forearm. The match ended with a disciplinary DQ, not a submission.

Ale maintains that he never intentionally bit his opponent, and we believe the footage helps explain his side.

We respect the @ibjjf and @ibjjf_europe and aren’t trying to change the result. However, Ale never felt he had the opportunity to explain what happened, and we believe there’s room to improve how situations like this are assessed.

Our bigger message to parents and coaches: teach our kids to value integrity, hard work and the journey, not winning at any cost.

Watch all 5 videos, hear Ale’s side and make up your own mind.

Don’t focus on the result. Focus on the journey.

Don’t DO Jiu Jitsu. BE Jiu Jitsu. ❤️🥋

Comp Day 🫡⚡️🇪🇺♾️ by @alebejj

Day 2 in Lisbon 🇵🇹 Managed to find a spot for a surf at Costa da Caparica and couldn’t resist jumping into the freezing Atlantic to catch a few waves. 🌊 With 3kg to spare for the comp, Ale had a pretty good excuse to enjoy some good Portuguese food too! Ale hates soft drinks, but always make an exception for @guaranaantarctica 🇧🇷😂 Now it’s time to slow things down and let Ale rest up because tomorrow is showtime! Let’s go! 🤙🔥🥋

What a crazy first day in Portugal! 🇵🇹 Pretty much nonstop from the moment we landed in Lisbon. Jumped straight in the car and headed to Peniche and Nazaré to check out these legendary surf spots. The surf and Jiu Jitsu culture is massive around here and we felt right at home. So much in common with our lifestyle back in Byron Bay. Absolutely loving this place! 🤙🌊
