The beginning of the story of how I decided to go to Yonaguni, the westernmost island of Japan, was when @_clara.gonzalezg told me that you could see hammerhead sharks 🦈 I started reading about it, and I discovered that basically all the diving centers on the island only accept you if you have more than 80 dives (I had 35 at the time), so I was a bit sceptical that I could do it 🤿 Later, I met @charlie_tomohiro and @nejc.susec, who suggested diving in Okinawa and Ishigaki. After one year without diving, that experience made me feel much more confident 🤗 Finally, I asked @this.is.taiga, an instructor, to contact some dive centers to see if I could dive with them. Even then, I wasn’t sure I would be able to dive until the day I arrived on the island by boat and went directly to the dive center 🤞 After several days of deep blue drift dives, almost losing hope (I even had to change my flight date to leave the island), luck was finally on my side. With the lucky charm @sakuradive, we saw around 100 hammerhead sharks all together 🦈 I consider it probably the most exciting experience I’ve ever had—also because it was unexpected and full of variables you can’t control: currents, weather, sharks. But when it happens, it feels like magic 🪄 by @alebisi94
how to build a community of friends from scratch, even if you know nobody 🪑 I’ve moved to so many cities where I knew no one. Like.. zero people. And the thing I keep learning is you don’t really find your people, you kind of build them. It starts with the little things. Being a regular somewhere. Asking someone what they’re working on and actually remembering. Being the one who sends the invite. And just showing up, week after week. It works anywhere. Whether you just landed or you’ve lived there for years and still feel a bit on the outside. Follow @debbybuilds for more ways to find your people, wherever you are. #makingfriendsasanadult #howtomakefriends #communitybuilding #digitalnomad #nomads by @alebisi94
One of the most memorable things to do around Noto? Swim with wild Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins near Notojima Island. 🐬 The main season runs from April to October. Every encounter is different—the dolphins are wild, and seeing them in their natural habitat makes the experience special. ❤️ by @alebisi94
A day in Noto with NomadResort 🌿 We explored Wajima, witnessing both the scars left by the earthquake and the incredible strength of the people rebuilding their hometown. We met Wajima lacquer artisans, watched the rice harvest continue at the beautiful Shiroyone Senmaida, and joined the Okuma Kabuto Festival, carrying a mikoshi and celebrating alongside the local community. We ended the day with a special sushi buffet prepared by a local sushi chef. Culture, resilience, nature, food, and warm connections—all the beauty of Noto packed into one unforgettable day. by @alebisi94

Last year experience and this year the marathon, double of the distance, why not? The nicest part of running a marathon and living in Vietnam that on a sunny day you have to wake up very early or go to run very late ⏰ For the marathon the alarm was at 1am ready to start at 3am!🕒 🏃 It was a long ride with suffering and happiness! The good learning is that we set our limits and we know what is possile or not with effort!( probably my only mistake was playing a football match 3days before the race with @oussama_ramdani and @marcolepido )⚽️ My objective changed to finish it and this was possible thanks to hermana @robyns_journeys who was really prepared and sure about the outcome ❤️🙌 Big thanks also to @nikoleta_li to come to support so early in the morning and the running club @runandfun.vn and particularly to Anna by @alebisi94
