A bit overdue, but here are some photos from our trip to Japan in October 🇯🇵

We attempted to see as much of Tokyo as we could in a week (difficult task), stopped in Hakone for the mountains and onsens, Kyoto for the history, Osaka for the street food, Kamakura for the beach, and Enoshima. A life-changing trip to be sure and can’t wait to go back! taken in Japan by @ncoleslaw

Country by Skylar Gudasz 🌊🌾

So excited to share that I’ve designed the layout for this beautiful record out Aug 9th on @perseidsrecords! I had such a good time getting to know it deeply while working on this 🩵 My many, many thanks to @skylargudasz and @sipsman for bringing me into the fold and being such great collaborators.

Go check out the lead single “Fire Country” out now and grab it on Whirlpool vinyl, Black vinyl, or CD while you’re at it.

Obviously, the exciting (or precious) thing about film is you never know how your photos are gonna come out – especially if you hardly know what you’re doing. This was especially the case last week when I went to visit the legendary Venice Beach Skatepark because I had never shot anything in motion really.

When I strolled up, this kid who had to have been 12 or 13 (black shirt) was flying through the air – showing up all the older guys. Then his older friend rolls up (white shirt) and starts going twice as high, with better tricks, challenging the kid to match his run with a kickflip-indy-sortha-thing near the end. The kid eventually got it after like ten tries! They were so good that I was crossing my fingers these photos would come out ok, and to my surprise, they actually kinda did! Video included of this whole run if you keep swiping.

Venice is a fascinating place. According to a woman I met there, I’m actually three years old spiritually because I’m 30 and she’s really five because she’s 32. 🤷‍♀️ taken in Venice Beach Skatepark by @ncoleslaw
