“One man’s sunset is another man’s dawn. I don’t know what’s out there beyond those hills. But if you ride yonder... head up, eyes steady, heart open... I think one day you’ll find that you’re the hero you’ve been looking for” - Jimmy Stewart _____________ #desert #mohave #mohavedesert #coloradodesert #joshuatree #joshuatreenationalpark #americanwest #wildwest #petroglyphs by @alecmozza

One year ago today, with hardly a days notice, I boarded a one way flight from Boston to Colorado, simply planning to spend some time on walkabout. Having escaped from a pretty volatile situation, it wasn’t long before I decided that I wouldn’t be making a return flight - a prospect that brought about just as much fear as it did excitement. Since then, I’ve climbed and ski’d some of the best terrain on the planet; Attended an obscene number of Red Rocks concerts; Trekked all over the desert, where I witnessed the Northern Lights, not once, but TWICE; Helped launch a record label in collaboration with Warner Music Group; Worked alongside some of my favorite recording artists; Experienced traditional Fado music across the Douro Valley; Performed my own music on both sides of Ireland; And spent time with some incredible people while following Pretty Lights around the country (you know who you are) I never imagined that I’d get to experience even a fraction of these things when I booked that ticket - and I’m so far beyond privileged and thankful to have done so much of it with people I love. Life’s been absolutely grand since then, and it’s only getting started… #colorado #walkabout #northernlights #moab #arches #skiing #bigwild #redrocks #ireland #portugal taken in Denver, Colorado by @alecmozza
