I still remember standing there and just looking up…
The canyon walls in Zion felt endless, glowing in that warm evening light, and everything around me suddenly went quiet. After walking through the cold water of The Narrows for hours, this moment felt like a reward.

📍 The Narrows -Zion National Park

I was smiling the whole time with excitement… like “oh my god we’re hiking through water!!!”

It felt so unreal, slowly moving between these massive canyon walls. I’ve done a lot of hikes before, but this one felt completely different. Every step I was excited, a little conscious of the rocks, trying to balance, and at the same time just processing how beautiful everything was.

I don’t know if everyone feels this kind of joy here or if it was just me… but I remember feeling so peaceful. No stress, no rush, no noise. Just the sound of the river, the canyon walls around me, and this simple happy feeling that stayed the whole hike.

Honestly… just happy, happy. 🤍

Tips:

1) Start hike early in the morning or little bit later toward the day just before noon to avoid the peak crowd at morning regular time
2) Highly recommend renting a bike instead a taking shuttle. It’s worth the ride. You will be riding between the amazing Zion picturesque giant red mountains and a scenic ride you always going to remember.
3) Rent a pedal assist bike or ebike from @zionadventurecompany or @outtahereebikes
4) Waterproof bags to carry your snacks and water. Some areas the water is chest level, so be prepared.

📍 The Narrows -Zion National Park

This was one of those moments where I just stopped walking and stared.

The Narrows is not an easy hike — you’re literally walking in the river the whole time, balancing on rocks and trying not to slip. But then you look up and see these massive canyon walls glowing around you… and suddenly nothing else matters.

I remember thinking, wow… I’m really here.

• Navajo Loop Trail – Popular, goes down into the canyon among hoodoos.
• Queen’s Garden Trail – Moderate, great for first-time hikers.

Colorado honestly surprised me. I’ve always been a mountain person, but the Rockies felt different - calm, huge, and somehow comforting. This view became one of my favourites, and it’s a place I’d go back to without even thinking twice.

It still amazes me how a state in the middle of everything can have deserts, red rocks, and snow all at the same time. Colorado was such an unexpected experience for me. We originally planned to spend just one day here on our road trip… and we ended up staying a few more without even thinking twice. We almost skipped this stop. It wasn’t on the original route, and honestly, we were already running late. But something in me said, ‘let’s just see it.’ No expectations, no rush — just curiosity. The trail started ordinary, then suddenly opened up into this unreal scene…. It’s funny — the places you almost don’t go to end up being the ones you never forget

When we planned this trip, I never looked up photos. Not a single one. I wanted the surprise — that moment when you see something for the first time and it hits you differently. I didn’t plan to be here. Honestly, I thought today would be just another regular day. But somehow, life led me down this path — through red canyons, past fallen logs, with the smell of earth and silence wrapping around me. I stood there for a while, just looking… thinking about how many times life has surprised me like this. The moments I never saw coming but ended up shaping me, grounding me, reminding me how much beauty is still out there waiting. It’s in these unplanned pauses that I realize how blessed I am, how every twist and detour was never really random after all.
