Wherever you are, I hope that it’s every bit as beautiful as you are. That it’s filled with rivers, sticks, frisbees and all of your favorite food.

No words can describe how heavy the silence feels without you. I never knew how much I’d miss the sounds of your giant paws stomping about. I can only hope I made your life as vibrant as you made mine. People will always have an opinion on how much my life revolved around you, but you have truly made who I am today: responsible, loving and fearless (thanks to your protection). From babies to adults, we grew together. We traveled to the tops of mountains in the crisp, cool air, all the way ocean side to salty breeze on the beaches, through university (yes, she went to school too), grieved a lot of loss and celebrated so many wins. You’ve been so so soo loved, baby girl.

My heart aches, but man… some people will never have a bond like ours and for that, I’m truly lucky.

Cheers to 27. Cheers to deepening my relationships with the people who bring light into the depths of my being. Cheers to being afraid, but doing it anyways. Cheers to walking away from toxicity, and manifesting health and love. Cheers to fighting for peace and equality. Cheers to doing things for myself, without guilt. Cheers to growth and support for ourselves and for others. Cheers to healing. Cheers to new chapters.

Our last mountain adventure 🐾 💔

My sweet girl, you’ve made my life so meaningful. You’ve taught me so many lessons. You’ve shown me love, respect, responsibility, motivation, desire.. in the most uncanny ways. I understand you’re just a dog, but oh boy… having a German shepherd at 18 teaches you a whole lot about emotions & responsibility and your ability to carry them.

She’s at the end of her days, friends. I’ve been so silent…. But after her vestibular disease “non-recovery”, severe arthritis, and overall quality of life deterioration…it’s her time.

I’m not ready. But, If you’d like to say a goodbye, send her a cheeseburger or some chocolate ice cream or merely just FaceTime to see her cute lil face again, send me a message. I never realized a dog could be so meaningful to so many people… but here I am, setting a schedule for my dog, because she is so loved and so many people are wanting to say bye.
