Last weekend was nothing short of indescribable. At first I was devastated that I didn’t get my goal time (like actually not even close to it) while fully disregarding what my body actually just did but more importantly my mind (those last 6 miles are truly no joke) and I’m so proud of my body but more importantly my mentality. My left knee was my biggest enemy wanting to take me out at mile 3 but I finished and I am so so proud of that.

While I did this myself, you are only as good as the people you surround yourself with and I still can’t truly comprehend all of the support I felt from all of the closest people in my orbit that day. And even more so the random people throughout the entire race handing me water, pretzels, bananas, nerds clusters (iykyk) and words of encouragement when I needed it most. The sense of unspoken unity and humanity was unlike anything I have ever witnessed. I am still in awe of it all and think I always will be.

The true honor of running with @thinkpinkrockscharity and for my mom was something that will fill my heart forever. I love this city as much as I love everyone in it. I truly will never forget this day and this wonderful feeling. NEW YORK OR NOWHERE BABY ♥️ taken in New York, New York by @aleigh_beard
