Durante la Edad Media, el sambenito era una prenda utilizada para señalar, humillar y condenar públicamente a quienes se consideraban herejes.

Esta gabardina toma su silueta y resignifica su símbolo. La cruz deja de ser un signo de vergüenza para convertirse en un acto de memoria y resistencia.

Sobre ella aparecen 65 marcas de conteo, una por cada uno de los países en los que, todavía hoy, las personas LGTBIQ+ siguen siendo criminalizadas de una forma u otra.

Hoy no quiero desearos un feliz Orgullo.
Quiero desearos un Orgullo con memoria.
Un Orgullo incómodo para quien odia.
Un Orgullo que nunca deje de ser combativo

During the Middle Ages, the "sambenito" was a garment used to mark, humiliate, and publicly condemn those considered heretics.

This trench coat draws from its silhouette and reclaims its symbolism. The cross is no longer a sign of shame, but an act of memory and resistance.

Across the garment are 65 tally marks, one for each of the countries where, still today, LGBTQ+ people continue to be criminalized in one way or another.

Today, I don’t want to wish you a Happy Pride.
I want to wish you a Pride with memory.
A Pride that makes those who hate uncomfortable.
A Pride that never stops being combative.

Hogwarts is no longer a safe place.

We grew up dreaming of letters that never came, of wands, of belonging. But growing up also means questioning, revisiting, and deciding what we continue to stand behind.

Nostalgia cannot come before lives and rights. Not everything is worth it just to feel “like before” again. Some realities are not fiction, and there are people who are directly affected by the narratives and choices we continue to support.

Maybe the real act of magic now is choosing consciously, taking a stand, and refusing to look the other way.

The best way to defeat our Voldemort is to stop supporting what he creates, what he profits from. We have to stop funding him… or her. by @aleixandri.studio
