University of Pittsburgh Graduate

My college experience truly has given me everything I imagined it to be. In high school, I worked so hard to get into a school I knew I would benefit from. Getting into Pitt & starting on a full ride, was more than a blessing.

I failed many test, retook classes, been setback, but all of that earned me my degree today. Losing my grandmother at the top of my final semester, was the hardest thing I’ve had to do. But God got me through. I know she’s watching over me proud ♥️

Thank you to my beautiful Mother for leading the way, and all my friends and family that helped me along the way. I’m the youngest of 7, the first to graduate College.

Closing this chapter 🎓 In start of a new one

That Stylish Intern | WAZOBIA 2025

I’ve had the privilege of serving as the Creative Intern for Pitts annual @asowazobia Fashion Show. A show celebrating African culture & fashion, beyond boundaries! I joined the team months ago, and since then been working on this show day & night. I love fashion & directing, therefore i’m blessed I got this experience helping direct & coordinate this entire show 🥹 down to every intentional detail.

Huge shoutout to the E-Board, all the models, & the designers as we couldn’t do this without each other 🫶🏼 Thank you to @alexandriakayy__ especially for bringing me onto this team. Her brilliance and dedication to this show as the Creative Director was an inspiration to us all, keep being the shining star you are AL ♥️ THIS WAS ALL STUDENT RAN. Honored this was was my senior internship, loved every second! Until next time, i hope everyone enjoyed what we poured our entire heart into.

Beyond The Currents: A Film by Alejé Jacob

This film is straight from my heart and soul. Watch my journey of self-love, discovery and finding my purpose with the support of my loved ones from the last few years. This is more of a short-film as I wanted my debut film to be something easier to watch, then enter into bigger productions. This took months of shooting, editing, creative decisions, & the list goes on. It’s experimental, dope, raw, vulnerable, pure and truly me. Art is never done, as I changed things till the last minute and wanted to include much more! God says it’s complete now tho. A big thank you to everyone who was apart of this in any way! Could not do it without yall. Take about 10 minutes out your day to watch and support lil ole me 🩵 I appreciate all the love and support more than anyone knows!!! it means a lot for a new young filmmaker.

This experimental documentary has been 2 years in the making. This is not just a documentary about myself at all. This is a storytelling of someone trying to find their purpose & true love for themself while going through college life at a young age. I wanted to create something raw that tells my truth in a beautiful way in hopes someone can resonate and relate to it. I used myself and my life experiences to showcase what the journey of self-discovery with the help of people around me, visually can look like. Tracking & recording the changes in my life within the past 3 years. As I am a private person, releasing something so raw & sharing is nerve racking. But I trust my gift & God who lead me to share my testimony through my art.

I am a Film Student at the University of Pittsburgh and have been learning and working on films now for the past 3 years. One of my goals is to be a household director/creative director in the film industry! I wanted my first official film work to be a representation of myself, while introducing my work to the world at the same time. I’m beyond proud of this piece and sooo eager to finally share. Give my film a chance to watch, or you’ll never know what you could be missing. Most of all, I hope alllll my love from my soul is felt!
Now let the currents begin!!! 🥹
