Maybe it’s me turning 50, maybe it’s cancer treatments that turned me inside out and left me scarred, a little broken and forever changed, whatever it is I find myself to be absolutely perfect!!! That doesn’t mean that I don’t have bad days when I wish things were different but at the end of the day, I do love my body in such a new non-judgy kind of way, and I am hoping to continue to celebrate it every chance I get.

The best fashion advice I can give to anyone at any age: love your body!! Completely, unconditionally, with all the little imperfections that make you absolutely perfect and beautifully unique!! No amount of style and different fashion trends can make up for that!! The only style that matters is you being comfortable in your own skin 💕 by @alek_sandra_d

Loved restoring and upcycling this beautiful vintage 1960’s dress. A bit old, out of shape and a little broken but still very beautiful, with loose, ripped seams and a few “bold” spots of lost sequins, it needed some creative changes. The way I saw it, all it needed was some extra love and care. And maybe a beautiful new purpose as a very unique and definitely one of a kind wedding dress.
Perfectly imperfect it made all the check marks: something old, something new and a touch of something blue.

Tessa - 💕

We called it Petunia. And it was such a perfect name for this vintage wedding dress Tessa got from her grandma that was also worn by her aunt. Dress was in a very delicate state so I had to work very carefully to preserve as much of lace as I could without destroying it. It was a bit of a challenge but that’s the beauty of working with vintage pieces.

If you knew me a little better you’d know that I am extremely passionate about upcycling old wedding dresses. They have a story to tell. It’s the story that carries the design from the very beginning and it’s the connection between the bride and her family that makes it complete and even more beautiful. This makes the dress so unique and special - something that you just can’t buy at the store.

@tessaberry I am so happy you came to me with Petunia and not only did you share this family treasure with me but you let me use my creativity in order to make a new design that best fits your personal style and wedding vision within the existing dress. The whole process was super fun and I find this to be one of my favorite dresses of all time.

2020 would not be the same without this amazing lady and her beautiful wedding collection. All the dresses were designed and made based on precise vision she had for each look. And if you like her style you might love her new line in beautiful flower prints she’s bringing from India!
@megfeely_ we had so much fun working together and I loved meeting you and creating not one but 3 of your wedding outfits and dressing most of your bridesmaids. I wish you all the luck in your own fashion endeavors 💕.

Anne -❤️

Beautiful red wedding dress with sequined gold lace appliqués. Somewhere in that lace was hidden a tiny gold Buddha in memory of bride’s father. It had a special meaning for Anne and it added a touch of uniqueness and emotional value to the dress. This is why I love custom design - each piece we make comes with a story.

Just like this flower was created one little bead at a time my health and my confidence is coming back one day at a time. I don’t think I ever lost it completely but there were days I was lost and that’s ok. It’s a process…. And I am not in a rush…

The beauty of creating something with your own hands has a very healing effect. The moment you see how it makes your clients excited and happy has even better healing power. I think I am on a right path and I am lucky to have some amazing ladies by my side! by @alek_sandra_d

This dress will forever have a special place in my heart because it was created on some of the the most challenging days of my life.

Thank you @chloeroget !! You knew about my situation and you choose to trust me completely with this very important part of your wedding planning. Working with you and creating this dress was a beautiful escape from ugly chemo side effects and it meant so much more to me than you can ever know.
