The first emotion I felt when the idea of the trip first came up was fear—fear of the partly unknown, of revisiting places I’d known under different circumstances and wondering what they would be like this time around. But above all, I feared whether I could manage to drive thousands of kilometers on my own. Now, when I think about the journey, I feel no fear—only immense pride that I pulled it off, that I found such strength and courage within myself, and that I had people by my side supporting me in various ways throughout the entire experience.
I saw beautiful sights and met wonderful people—people who, I hope, will remain a part of my life for a long time to come ❤️
The first batch of photos will be the most chaotic; it will be a record of the journey and of moments filled with sheer joy! by @aleks.lapot

The best thing about travelling is that, with time, you stop remembering who you took the picture with, and start remembering what the journey taught you.

I used to think memories were inseparable from the people we shared them with. Now I think memory works differently, it doesn’t preserve everything as one image, but slowly separates what once felt intertwined. Places remain, emotions remain, conversations remain, but not always in the same configuration.

There are people you remember more clearly than any background. And there are moments that stay precisely because they happened somewhere in between. One does not cancel the other, it just slowly stops being the same thing.

Maybe that’s why going back to travel photos is not really about returning to people or places as such, but about returning to the way I used to see the world at that time.

I’d call that a pretty good trade. 🫶🌞

More unexpected than the trip to London itself was the hospitality of random people who showed me their heart and kindness. I liked you, London, and I will definitely come back to you 💛

A view of love and relationships can never be separated from socio-financial issues. Capitalism controls this area of our lives most profoundly, monetizing our need for closeness and placing obstacles in the way of healthy relationships. Capitalism robs us of the sensitivity that allows us to make empathetic choices. People are focused on daily survival, not on their loved ones. This is nothing new, but in its current form, it seems most ruthless. In all of this, we lose sight of our true, often romantic, instincts. As always, the best solution is, above all, awareness.

Veni, vidi, non mortuus sum

Naples turned out to be fast, sweet, unconventional, direct and intense, and at the same time it showed me how important contact with other people is, showed me the importance of a short conversation, momentary pleasures and living in the moment.
I'm taking it all in ⚽🚬
