“MEDIA & FILM TRAILBLAZER 2025” Award by @kingdompushhgala 🏆📸Last night is still surreal to me.I am honoured. I am overwhelmed. I am grateful. But this award isn’t about me.It’s a symbol of what obedience to God looks like and a reminder what happens when you give Jesus your yes.Agape’s Angle launched in November 2023. It wins an award in November 2025. It can only be God!The vision has always been bigger than just taking photos. It’s a ministry of storytelling through the lens of God’s love (Agape’s Angle). Every shot, every moment captured, every story preserved is meant to reflect His heart and the way He sees His children.I am so humbled by the recognition. I did it! I finally made the best decision of my life and got baptised!✝️My journey thus far has most certainly not been an easy one but I have never walked alone. I have struggled, I have failed, I have sinned. But through God, I have overcome every burden, weakness and challenge and I am more than excited to enter this new chapter of my life with Him at the forefront of it all. My life is living proof of His glory and miraculous love. He has done the impossible in my life. Give praise to the Lord for He is truly good all the time. I am blessed! Thank you to the best church @hillsongcroydon , @nikicarless and the rest of my amazing church family for making this happen and being the most loving and supportive community through every moment, emotion and process. Thank you for giving me a space to come as I am, offload, rest, be vulnerable and grow. A massive thank you to all my family and friends for your endless support and encouragement through it all. I can’t wait for you all to see the best that is yet to come from God’s plan for me. Amen🙏✝️. by @aleksaasme

Earlier this week, I was honoured to receive the “Community Change & Leadership” award in Design & Construction from the City of London’s Worshipful Company of Builders’ Merchants.Following my People, Places & Poetry research project, which explored the relationship between young people’s mental health and the physical spaces around them, my research partner @kaylahjacksonn and I have been committed to turning insight into action, working to create more meaningful youth spaces across London.As part of this work, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with @build_up_foundation & @soundslikechaos on the “Blue Square” project, bringing young people in Broadway Fields, Deptford together to reimagine and redesign their outdoor play space into something that truly serves them, and their community.This journey is what led Kaylah and I to receive this award.But ultimately, this isn’t a celebration of us. It’s a reminder that young people don’t just have the capacity for change, they are the driving force behind it. It affirms one of the most important findings from our research: young people must be trusted and positioned at the forefront of decisions that directly affect their lives.Since completing the research, one thing has continued to burden me; our findings were never meant to sit still. They were meant to be acted upon.May this be a charge to all of us to not just recognise the problems around us, but to create and become the solutions they demand. by @aleksaasme
