Incredibly proud of my girls journey in Jiujitsu and their recent belt promotion! Jiujitsu, especially for young girls, is as important as learning to swim. Had to say goodbye to one of my best friends this morning. Stinky, was a dog that’s been with me before I met my wife, had kids, and really grew up with me. Or maybe, more accurately, we grew up together.
I have so many good stories with her and I’m glad that she got to spend her last years running free outside in Idaho. Still doesn’t make this any easier. What’s the saying? The price of a good dog is a broken heart. I’m definitely broken today. by @alekskocev

Almost 6 years ago, I stepped onto the mat for the first time, not knowing the journey that would unfold. Life took me in all kinds of directions, and I was never in one place long enough to commit fully. But then, a chance conversation with @stone310stone changed everything. He said, ‘You’ve got a solid foundation. Just show up and train.’ That simple nudge reignited the fire. Now, almost 2 years later, I’m closing the chapter as a white belt and proudly moving forward with my blue belt.

A huge thank you to my brothers at @originalsjiujitsuacademy and my professor @stefankocev for guiding me on this path. Here’s to many more years on the mats, growing, learning, and rolling. #JiuJitsuJourney #BlueBelt #oss by @alekskocev
