💠 Portrait of Jason Lee Penman 💠

🐆

This week, I’ve been tested by the rising temperatures in California, just after moving into my AC-less Honda Fit 🚗

While escaping the heat, I met Jason Penman at @thecloveartcomplex_95020

I was amazed and inspired by who he was and the cross-country walk that brought him there. His advice for dealing with extreme weather was to accept it 🕊️❄️

Many times during this project I felt ready to give up. The auto-cutout feature used to isolate my body runs PAINFULLY slow. At the breaking point of my patience, I realized it was a sign to stop forcing against life’s pace and simply move with the process 🫠 Each of these moments allowed me to renew my commitment to the dream.

Please enjoy this piece, which after many hours and iterations, landed me somewhere new and moved me to tears.

It is a culmination of 7 years of handbalancing, 17 years of drawing, countless experiences of joy and sorrow, and the love, support, and inspiration of the beautiful people all around us

🔥🧬💗

Thank you, Jason, for your energy, generosity, and shared experience.

Enjoy this improvised exhalation of admiration, appreciation, and love for @itsthejustjackshow

THEN, dive into the warm waters of authentic musical theatre and expression found on their page. Tragedy, whimsy, the complex, the mundane; Jack weaves it all to the laughter and tears of his audience.

Jack has seen this before, but now we can all share the love! ❤️‍🔥 by @aleksofearth

Anchor the shift to a trigger word. 🪬

When I notice the past dominating my frequency…
“Now”
Then I connect to the vibration of my future self.

🐆

If anyone else has similar tricks for this kind of shift, please let me know! 🤞🏼 Powerful stuff!!! ⛓️‍💥🧬
