Esattamente oggi, 6 anni fa, mi ritrovavo ad avere una conversazione con mia madre riguardante il mio futuro.

Avevo iniziato a studiare all’università, ma qualcosa mi diceva che quella non fosse la strada per me.

Mia madre mi chiese cosa volessi fare nella vita, e la mia risposta fu diretta ma molto generica.
Dissi: “voglio raccontare le storie delle persone”.

@marialuisalandi73 penso tu lo ricordi bene.

All’epoca non sapevo ancora cosa volesse dire al 100%, ma sapevo che il giorno in cui lo avrei scoperto sarebbe arrivato presto.

Da allora sono passati 2190 giorni, buona parte dei quali non sono stati proprio fantastici.
Ma ieri, per la prima, dopo 6 anni di sacrifici, ho sentito di essere fiero di me.

E questo é solo il primo step, non ho ancora fatto niente.

Ci vediamo al cinema.

Exactly today, 6 years ago, I found myself having a conversation with my mum about my future.

I had just started university, but deep inside I felt that wasn’t the right path for me.

My mum asked me what I wanted to do in life, and my answer was direct but very generic:
“I want to tell people’s stories.”

@marialuisalandi73 I think you remember it well.

Back then I didn’t fully know what that meant yet, but I knew the day I would figure it out would come soon.

2190 days have passed since then.
A big part of them honestly weren’t that great.

But yesterday, for the first time after 6 years of sacrifices, I felt proud of myself.

And this is only the first step.

Just the best trip of my life. I’d have so many things to say about it but I’m not used to being serious in the captions.

A lifetime long dream of mine was to walk on the Great Wall of China. And I made it.

Gotta admit there are many Great Walls in China, even the one in our hotel was pretty nice, but I believe this wall in the picture was the greatest of all.
