I’m at a bit of a loss for words on how truly grateful and beyond excited I am for this new chapter!

This summer, I have been assistant music directing (two shows!) learning, growing and stretching myself so much musically, and now I am teaching voice lessons and musical theatre classes (starting in September) at @musicwithmartyna in West Boca!

I feel so honored to be trusted with such a unique and special position. Voice teachers witness some of the most vulnerable parts of us and are responsible for creating a space where their students can feel completely comfortable to try something and fail, in order to find what works. Shout out to some of my teachers and friends who have helped me by giving me the tools I will need for this new journey-

@schochvalue thanks for believing in me, encouraging me to aim high and giving me all the foundations and more! I still hear your voice in my head coaching me when I approach music and monologues ❤️
My current voice teacher and friend Ryan Townsend for helping me gain new in depth understanding of my voice and for all the support and encouragement!!
My worship director Mikey @ja.eri for the prayers, encouragement and for talking with me through a life transition that has been honestly a little scary but so worth it to push through the discomfort.

And finally to @martynar for so much time spent observing lessons, giving me feedback and encouragement, and helping me to be able to step into this new role with confidence and overwhelming support!

Thank you Jesus, My heart is very happy 💖 by @aletta.kemp

I LOVE singing, but let’s be real. Sometimes it can feel like any other job/responsibility to do those technique warm ups that we all know we need, or work through that one section of your song that’s giving you heartache.
Building habits that set you up to look forward to your practice time is a great way to give you that extra boost of motivation for “blah” days! (We all have them!)

what is your favorite way to reward yourself for doing the work??

Singers, sometimes you just need to film yourself singing something that you love for fun! (I love props so feat. my hairdryer 😏)

Ope, BIG news.

Recently, I auditioned for and was ACCEPTED to a M.M. Degree Program at Shenandoah University, VA!
I will be studying Vocal Pedagogy under some fabulous mentors and teachers of voice, learning to help others find their artistic voice, while continuing to develop my own. Glory to God!
After several years of researching, asking questions, and exploring different possibilities, I’ve found something that lines up with where I see myself growing.
I’m extremely grateful and proud to be a part of the incoming SU Grad Class of ‘28 😁 🙏🏻 🎤
