IYKYK.

Wrote this script last year just to see if I still had the juice… and considering the second draft made Quarterfinals in TWO of the biggest screenwriting competitions out there, I’d say there’s still something left in the tank.

Before we send this thing off to festivals, I just wanted to give flowers to the people who helped bring it to life.

Huge shoutout to my executive producer/investor @justinflores1 for believing in this project from the jump — and for letting me borrow Chad 😂 This film genuinely would not be the same without you.

To my director, cinematographer, editor, creative partner, therapist, and brother @alex___gonzo — thank you for being in the trenches with me from concept to final cut. Every draft, every shot list, every last-minute idea and ridiculous note… you always found a way to make it better. Appreciate you more than you know. (I’ll stop sending new notes weekly… maybe.)

To the insanely talented @chaddriley for playing the perfect villain. Chad crushed this role the same way he crushes every role. Grateful to have this beautiful menace on board.

To my beautiful wife @mandyvecks — who somehow played the most evil wife imaginable while pregnant with Elora — you’re an absolute warrior. Luckiest man alive to do life with you. Thank you, my love.

To @nikkisoro and @savagechefbarandgrill for letting us turn your spot into our playground for the day. Beyond grateful for the hospitality, support, and immaculate vibes.

To @tashathalia and @ashleyrowen for absolutely owning your roles and bringing the energy every second you were on screen. You both killed it 🙏🏼

To @mamatarutis for stepping in last minute and saving my ass. Couldn’t have cast that role better if I tried. You were perfect 🫶🏻

And to Mandy’s dad, Hugo, for holding off on selling his truck before I used it for this project. That truck really made this project 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Can’t wait to share this with the world!

Onto the next… by @alex___gonzo

It was a pleasure meeting and photographing my new friend @queendelighted
I really encourage you to go see her live if you get the chance!

I have been a fan since her performance on @agt and her act has only gotten better since.

Be on the lookout for future collabs from the two of us 👀

Also huge shout-out to @meloalaska99 @smol_duckgod and the rest of the crew at @chehalis_theater for running the show behind the scenes. Can't have a show as awesome as this without a great crew!

It's happening here.
Stay safe Portland.

Regardless of what side of the political spectrum you're on, I recommend going out into the world and coming to your own conclusions. Many people I know think that Portland is dangerous and scary, but they won't even cross the river to see for themselves.

Portland is a beautiful city with lots of kind, brave people. Don't let anyone keep you from finding community and experiencing all that the world has to offer.

I hope you get a chance to meet the freaks, the funnies and all the other lovely people here. taken in Portland, Oregon by @alex___gonzo
