RISK AND RELEVANCE GOES TO THE COMMUNITY.

A day filled with energy, laughter, creativity and teamwork!

Together with LuCAC, we took Risk and Relevance to the community, spending time with the Obama Rangers football team and the people who make this space what it is.

As an artist, my work has always been connected to the community and the different social dynamics that shape our lives. During this workshop, I got to share why I use the brick wall motif in my work, and together, we created our own wall. We wrote about the struggles we share, the things that hold us back, but most importantly, where we draw our strength which is in ONE ANOTHER.

We also worked together to build team shelters, which we permanently left with the team. For me, this was another way of putting our conversation into action. It was about showing that we can make real change when we come together and work with what we have, instead of only talking about what needs to change.

A big thank you to everyone who made this day possible: the Obama Rangers team, all the participants, the LuCAC team, and nature for allowing us this moment.

Sometimes, change starts with simply showing up, sharing what we have, and doing something together.
