re-worked studio workwear, progress update.  for years folks have been asking for more ODR merch, so @uliusj & i are finally having a proper stab at a mini fall/winter collection that feels intentional, adapting staple pieces to make them as useful & everyday as possible.  stonewashing, embroidering, fading screenprints, adding double zippers, adjusting length & removing pockets with the help of local Newark businesses & @panama_brim. lets see how they come out. by @alex_odr

how our surfboards made their way to the beach 🏝️🏄🏽‍♂️

after much convincing, the team forced Alex to take this vid as we begin to tell a few more stories behind all the props which live at the stu. this first shares how 2 of our 8 foot 4” “yacht of a @surfindustries board” travelled from Newark to Costa this past Feb. biggest board you’ve ever seen on a surf rack, yip!

painted a wooden pallet today that i grabbed from our first floor & took some time to slow things down. easel just about held the weight, think the gaps in the wood make for a cool look

nine days full of love on a sunny sliver of heaven, sharing morning and night with a beautiful mix of family & friends from all over the world, big blue tipping his hat from above.

endless thank you’s to @musgrave4698 aka Dr Slice and his crew for wining n dining us like a gaggle of Greek gods. i love his villa like no other, so much so i feel obliged to spread the word and encourage anyone looking for a big family holiday to give him a holler so the magic can continue forever.

i’ve become so accustomed to hosting other photographers & creatives at the stu, that sometimes I almost forget to pick up the camera myself, too caught up in the day to day, leaving no space for it. when I do, it always feels calming & reminds me how much I’ve learnt to enjoy it as a practice, especially in here.

proud to say i’ve taken lots of inspiration over the years watching my boys like @matthewdavidstith, @ethanwhite & others capture in the way they do, asking them years ago which film cameras to scoop so i could start messing around myself…felt like a good idea as I happened to be opening a photo studio.

anyway, here’s a few softer tones, textures and light i captured as the sun started to trickle through earlier this week xx by @alex_odr
