Some photos from Rocky Mountain National Park, it was so amazing and a great way to spend my birthday weekend! Trail Ridge Road is so cool, just a blessing to be in the mountains. Topped out at ~12,300 which amazes me the top of Hawai‘i is still ~1,500ft higher than this. Wish I could have stayed for longer and climbed a 14er but yolo, next time :) Wish I could have brought you all along. Also had to stop quick and check out the WY state Capitol building. Amazing weekend in the Black Hills! Got to see Devils Tower National Monument on Friday, Mt Coolidge on Saturday, and the summit of Black Elk Peak on Sunday. Along with lots of other crazy cool things along the way including US-212 (same one that’s in Chaska). Super fun and an awesome time being able to hike this weekend in the wonderful Black Hills & to get to the summit of South Dakota’s highest point Black Elk Peak at 7241ft above sea level. Perfect cool dry weather for all of this. I’d like to thank everyone who has supported me mentally through my transition into college, it hasn’t been easy. But thank you so much for being there for me. Nature is my stress relief so if school gets too stressful you’ll know where to find me, out in the Hills! Philmont Scout Ranch. This was my third time hiking out into the backcountry of Philmont and it was just as good as the last time. This trip closes out the last bit of high school as I move on to college. I love hiking and backpacking and this 85 mile trek was amazing. ~12,000ft of elevation gain and about the same amount down. Again it’s one of my favorite things of all time, the feeling of being out in the backcountry with no stress from the outside world is amazing. Very fortunate to see Kīlauea’s episode 16 eruption on April 1st. The lava fountain was over 1000ft tall and truly made the park a different experience than in November. taken in Kilauela Volcano The Big Island Hawaii by @alex_schq
