What a gift to experience the love of god overflowing out of His people while encountering the Holy Spirit break chains through radical healings, miracles and intercessory prayer.
•
Unlikely + surprising are two words that I would use to describe this past week. God answered some of my most longstanding prayers at CR school. One being that revival would break out in my hometown. A few days in, our class was broken into small groups to share the burdens God placed on our hearts. A guy in my group began opening up about his college campus having the reputation of being a top party school in the country and his desire to see the love of God rewrite the school’s narrative. His desire aligned specifically with my prayer. He explained his involvement in starting the @runwchristmotown ministry in Morgantown, WV, a ministry inviting anyone to engage in authentic and intentional community centered around making heaven full. It was nothing short of a divine encounter to be placed in the same small group with @dom_brinkley_52. I’m still in awe of how creative our lord is. Our encounter gifted me with so much reassurance. God sees you, he hears you, he’s working with and for you and at the right time he will reveal himself. two years of pursuing sobriety 🧡

Two years ago the Holy Spirit convicted me with one word: why. I began to self assess why I was living the way I was, quickly realizing that I was consumed with cheap thrills and distractions. My life was self absorbed yet self destructive, mistaking reckless behavior as freedom and leaving myself in bondage with a spirit of hopelessness. I was committed to the ideology that trajectory of my life would be confined by my past. BUT GOD met me in one of my darkest hours and showed me otherwise. He offered me a living hope through accepting Jesus Christ as my savior which has given me a new life. He paid the debt I so deeply deserve. Reflecting on these past two years I realize how challenging it has been because instead of running to temporary fixes I have had to face many emotions and realities apart from the comfort of distraction. Considering all of this necessary to my sanctification, I am thankful that I no longer have to bow to the desires of my flesh because slavery is not my portion and a child of god is my position.
