What an absolute honor to have been voted one of the top Wedding Photographers in our Central WA region for the 2nd year in a row!

To feel so at home behind my camera is the biggest blessing I could ask for in a career.

I’m grateful for all my couples who partner with me in creating artful imagery of their wedding day, for all the lovely wedding professionals I’ve met on the job whom I now call friends, and of course for my family who supports & cheers me on (even on weekends we would have otherwise had together).

Hi 👋 I’m Alexa :) To those new to this page, welcome🤍 This is a space of art, a space where I share small tidbits of my personal life & family, and is most intended as a place of beauty.

Everything I do in my work anchors on the central idea of how we experience and cultivate beauty. Beauty in the smallest moments, beauty in memories memorialized, beauty in slowing down & living a life you love… I believe beautiful photography is built upon fully living the moments you want to remember.

I’m a Christian, a wife, a mom, sister, daughter, photographer, artist, a pick-a-new-aesthetic-a-day-girl, Pinterest & France obsessor, and all the above.

A beautiful theme of our time in Italy has been connecting with and caring about the artists behind the art. This is my friend, incredible painter & framer in Greve, Chianti.

I could have spent the entire day hearing his stories and looking at each and every stunning frame in his shop. Before leaving he taught me how to draw a ladybug on the back of a random card and signed it “for Alexa.”

I have felt so incredibly drawn and inspired by the human interaction that happens when you buy art from, or hire, an artist.

I will always remember Alexa in her 20’s, running through the streets of Tuscany, art print and olive wood frame in hand, throwing a parting wave to my new friend, hopping on the Vespa and telling Alex about it all. taken in Chianti, Toscana by @alexa.ditto

My job is to organize groups, photograph details, help you feel comfortable, watch the timeline & prepare for what’s next, guide you during portraits, get the little moments, and the big.

The return of the analog year- have you heard of this yet? I’ve been deep in this phase, loving the idea and practice of enjoying tangible life.

Gathering fresh eggs from our hens, smelling the chocolate mint I’m about to plant in my garden, sewing a dress that feels like me, and even writing work emails outside to the sound of birds and leaves.

I love that everything in art is a conversation- a response to how the world is moving. And with AI being such a hot topic, we’re seeing a huge return to realness. For me, this looks like quieting my headspace & being offline as much as I can so that when I go to make art & photograph, it’s coming from an excited and full well of inspiration.

It looks like photos with movement, raw emotion, a draw toward documentary styled event photography, and colors as we see them in real life.

I am so loving this pull towards reality, imperfection, messiness, slowness, and inconvenience. by @alexa.ditto

There’s a french saying I adore “lâcher prise.” This means to let go, release the grip & the need to control.

Easy to say, hard to do… but I truly believe that when you have a team behind you that you trust, that’s where this magic of “releasing the grip” comes into play.

Every couple needs this as they’re prepping for their wedding day, and especially on the day of.

You’ve already done the hard work of researching, vetting, interviewing, and booking your team, now let your team carry you & execute your beautiful celebration while you let go & just✨be✨

I didn’t choose to think your blue eyes are beautiful, or to get nervous & stop my heart beating when you held my hand for the first time. I didn’t choose to feel at home in your hug, or feel lighter at the sound of your laugh… but I just did.

Choice or no choice, I found myself tripping and now I’m perpetually head over heels, realizing there was nothing I did or could do about it, and nothing I wanted to do but fall in love with you!

We’re just rolling out of engagement season, so if you have a new rock on your finger (and are henceforth a leftie for life💅), this is for you!

It can be confusing to organize all the timelines of when to hire your wedding team. There can also be some fear “will my date be booked already?” “Am I too late? Too early?”
