Haven’t posted in a while and I think now is the perfect time to do so as I hit my PR on a 30 minute ride for the first time after my accident last year!!!✨✨✨✨

I am so thankful I am back to being stronger than ever, it really is amazing what we can push ourselves to do. A year ago today I never thought I would be back to where I was. Shoutout to @codyrigsby for pushing me every day!!!!! Lfg #teampeloton #strongwomen by @alexamichellefit

And we are back! Been a long hiatus but I’m finally feeling back on track and stronger than ever. If these past five months have taught me anything it’s to never give up and keep on pushing. No matter how hard life could be there’s always a light at the end.

Here’s today’s protein shake of the day 🤩 pumpkin pie shake 🤩

$For those who don’t know, two months ago on April 15th 2021 I was in a horrible freak accident that left me with 10 broken ribs, multiple pelvic fractures, lacerated spleen and fluid in my lung. This week marked two months from the accident and although it has been a tough and exhausting road I haven’t given up on making a full recovery and getting back to where I was. Three admissions to the hospital and multiple set backs later and I can finally say I did my first peloton recovery ride yesterday and I am back on the leaderboard! I am no where back to the shape I was in but I know I will get there eventually and things take time. If I’ve learned one thing from these past couple of months it’s that things can be taken from you at any second but you should never give up. If anyone has been through a similar situation and needs someone to talk to please feel free to reach out, you are not alone. Xoxo Lexi by @alexamichellefit$

A year ago I made the decision to start maintaining a healthier lifestyle as well as better myself. This past year has been so crazy for everyone, what kept me absolutely sane was working out and staying active to take my mind off of the pandemic and everything going on in the world. Never imagined I would find a love for working out and I’m so happy I did.

Shoutout to @onepeloton for the motivation to keep going everyday and to be better. Today I hit a PR of 310 output and burnt 420 calories in a 30 minute ride. When I started I only hit 200 output max and couldn’t imagine hitting anywhere close to 300. Proud of myself and my journey, swipe to see where I started and where I am today 🤗

If anyone needs any help on how to stay motivated feel free to message me would love to give any tips/tricks to what’s helped me.

Xoxo

Not the prettiest but here’s my avocado toast of the day 😍 haven’t posted in a minute and needed to get back on my grind💪🏽 I’m going to be completely honest, I have cheat days and not everyday is always a perfect eating day. This past weekend I went out to dinner twice and had drinks. It’s ok to splurge but make sure you stay active! Listening to your body is the best way to maintain.

Toast:
Fried egg with everything but the bagel seasoning
Two pieces everything but the bagel lox from Trader Joe’s
Half an avocado
One piece Ezekiel toast
SIRACHA (a ton of people have been asking about my sauce recs: siracha, Buffalo Wegmans hot sauce, TJ hot sauces are my favs)

Protein Shake:
Five frozen strawberries
One frozen banana
One scoop optimum nutrition dark chocolate whey protein
One tablespoon peanut butter
One tsp cinnamon
Half cup almond milk
One date by @alexamichellefit

Protein shake of the day 🤩

✨one banana
✨five medium sized strawberries
✨one scoop optimum nutrition gold standard double rich chocolate whey

Been trying out new protein shakes/smoothies and been finding that the best for maintaining muscle/weight is optimum nutrition. Haven’t had a flavor I didn’t like 😄 by @alexamichellefit

Finally finished the new gym set up 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

I’ve recently been getting into tread classes on peloton as well.. don’t sleep on them because I can guarantee your calves will hurt for days 🙃🙃🙃🙃 Swipe for one of my run suggestions! by @alexamichellefit

Good to be back!

✨As some of you know I took a much needed break/vacation to Cancun. Although I did run/workout while I was there it’s always nice to get back and get on the bike.

A few people have messaged me and asked me about tips with drinking and drunk eating. Honestly for me drinking alcohol was one of the things that made me gain weight in the first place. During quarantine I gave up alcohol for three months and the weight came right off. Drinking is a huge factor of weight gain and for people who want to continue to drink and lose weight I recommend sticking to clear liquors (vodka/tequila) with seltzer/water and/or spiked seltzer’s. Cut out all beer and wine (as much as it sucks) and sugary cocktails. Also drink in moderation, don’t drink a crazy amount as liquors still have calories and sugars. I also recommend when starting your weight loss journey to just cut out alcohol completely.

Drunk eating was also how I gained a ton of weight, you really have to be in the mindset that you won’t drunk eat and you’re not hungry once it’s late night and you’re drunk. And if you are hungry try to stick to healthy snacks not pizza, Taco Bell or McDonald’s. If you have any questions about what has really worked for me please feel free to message me ☺️ by @alexamichellefit

A couple people have asked me about my diet and what I eat post workout. I’ve found this meal has helped my muscles recover and body maintain.

Here’s a little post workout meal✨

PROTEIN SHAKE: one scoop of Optimum Nutrition Performance chocolate Whey, one full banana, one scoop peanut butter, one scoop Nutella, half cup of almond milk and ice.

FOOD: two eggs with everything but the bagel seasoning, two slices of cheddar cheese, one big slice of rye bread, two hot sauces 🌶 by @alexamichellefit

💫One of the most frequent questions I get is “how do you stay so motivated and stick to your routine?”. I’m going to be honest, it’s really hard to stay in the healthy mindset but things that motivate me to be healthy are my family and knowing that every day I have a goal of working out and making myself better. I constantly push myself and think to myself “if not today, when?”. For me working out is also a huge stress reliever, so whether I clip in to the peloton, run or do a floor workout I know that it’s my escape from work and all the other things in my life that are stressful. Getting in the mindset is hard but when you do the results are so worth it.
