Most companies only think about one quarter ahead.

Cut rep pay. Protect executives. Squeeze margins. Repeat.

Then there’s the opposite side: companies that overpay so aggressively there’s no foundation left to actually scale. Eventually the cracks show.

The best businesses find the middle ground.
Take care of the people. Keep enough margin to grow. Build something that still exists 10 years from now.
