What an honour to be a guest at Bruton restaurant with rooms Osip (@osiprestaurant) for the latest edition of @voyagevoyagemagazine.Huge thanks to chef-founder Merlin Labron-Johnson (@merlin_johnson) for sharing his vision with @fabienguyon and me. Inside the studio of ceramicist and painter Colette Woods (@_colettewoods_) was one of my favourite chapters of a recent shoot in Bruton, Somerset, for edition 20 of @voyagevoyagemagazine. Her space was beautiful but so was her story: after a bad run of health, she was packing up to follow a long-held dream of living and working in France. I promised I’d come visit. Her work is shipped worldwide but can also be found in Bruton restaurant Osip (@osiprestaurant, last image). I can’t believe it’s almost a year since my first shoot in Cairo, Egypt, for @voyagevoyagemagazine.One of my favourite visits was the Adam Henein Museum, a beautiful space dedicated to the late Egyptian sculptor. He died in 2020, but we met Abdelkader Mohamed, a bronzier and finisher who worked with him for more than 30 years, polishing his pieces to completion.I tried to make a portrait of him in his workshop but wasn’t entirely feeling it (on me, not him).
